The BEST professor at Gannon in my opinion. Lectures are long, but explains very well what he is talking about. You don't really need to buy the textbook that is required for his class because he makes his own notes in power points, and goes over them during class. Will definitely be taking him again in the future!

Comment:

More than willing to help students when students seek the help. Will not hold your hand to make sure things get done. Class lectures are very cut and dry and the exams can be a hit or miss. If you skip class, you're going to miss out on supplementary information that is not given in his powerpoints.

The class was pretty tough. He rapidly goes through material so be prepared to record his lectures. He allowed one student to record all of them. I had a hard time remembering all of the species/genus/family names on one of his tests. The lab was really interesting. I used the lab manual a lot - you probably won't pass without it.

He is a nice person, but I really did not like him as a professor. He doesn't explain things well, and when I went to him for help I felt dumb for the questions I was asking him. Hes not a rude professor, I just didn't learn anything at all from him.

Always available to help. Immediately responds to emails. Study your notes and don't wait until the last minute. Final was tough, but I should have studied more. Awesome and very helpful teacher!!

If you don't put at least 30 hours in per test you won't do good. The test's are very difficult. So if you aren't a good test taker don't take him. He doesn't respond to emails and won't ever give out extra credit. He knows what he is talking about but if you skip class you miss a ton. I wouldn't recommend taking him.

Andraso is a great professor because he has this inner passion that makes everyone interested in the material. He's very smart and if you have questions he'll answer them the best he can. He also adds a little humor in class sometimes. His tests are hard though so studying a lot is a must!
