This guy is boring! He often rambles on about things in the media! He keeps you 10 to 15 minutes after class. He lectures the entire time you are in class and does not do powerpoints or anything digital . When he does write things on the board it is unreadable and taking notes is nearly impossible. your grade is based off of three tests only!

Dr. Getz is the best professor at UHD. He is not an easy professor but he is an extremely intelligent one. If you have been just getting by on easy teachers then don't take Dr. Getz. If you are prepared as a college student to learn something useful them take Dr. Getz because you will definitely learn a lot in his class.

Dr.Getz is an amazing professor. His class is by no means easy. I can honestly say it is best class I have taken at UHD. If you want to learn,take his class. This class can prepare you for the next level in education. I loved all the films and his lectures were amazing.

I wouldn't say his lectures were boring but he did talk a lot and did keep us 10 or 15 mins after class ended. But the man is passionate about sociology and film. The book and lectures are important for the take home tests. He's pretty hot for an old man. I would take another class with him.

THIS PROFESSOR SUCKS. HE IS VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE HE GOES OFF ON THESE RANTS ABOUT WHAT BABBIE (THE AUTHOR OF THE REQUIRED TEXT) DIDN'T PUT IN HIS BOOK AND TELLS US THAT WE NEED TO REMEMBER IT FOR THE TEST BUT WHEN YOU TAKE THE TEST, MOST OF THE MATERIAL COMES FROM THE TEXT AND YOU FIND THAT HIS LECTURE WAS A WASTE OF TIME.

Yes it was boring, yes he kept you over for at least ten minutes everyday and yes most of the material is way over everyone's head but this is the first professor that actually inspired me. He gives take home exams but each question requires at least 3 pages (brutal). Overall a good experience and he is very easy on the eyes wich helps.

The man knows his stuff like the back of his hand but he is not great at helping you comprehend the subject. Can be very confusing since he doesnt teach from the book which is kind of stupid, and he tends to be late and wants to keep you an extra 15min. late to make up for it.
