Professor Miller is amazing! He has an awesome sense of humor (reminds me of Dwight, from The Office). He makes class fun to go to, and he was very understanding. He understood deadlines wouldn't always be met. Going to class is always an opportunity to work on your essays. this course is NOT an easy A, but it pushes u as a write. i recommend.

This prof is basically my favorite person. Funniest prof I've ever had! The essays are tough and if your writing sucks, he'll tell you, but he's a fair grader. Also very willing to work with you if you have extenuating circumstances or need help with something. NEVER skip class! NEVER skip draft workshops! Go to office hours!!!

He has high expectations and grades accordingly, but he's also very helpful as a resource when you're revising your papers. Tends to ramble a little bit in class, but all his advice on writing is spot-on. Has a sense of humor that not everyone will get. I don't especially enjoy writing, but I did enjoy this class. Peer reviews aren't great, though.

Mr. Miller is the best professor I've ever had at UC Davis. Lecture discussion is not mandatory, but he makes them fun, interesting and they're really helpful. Writing can be scary to some, but he is always willing to help and offers extra time if you need it. Overall, this class was really enjoyable and I will miss his lectures.

Greg is an awesome professor. I took this class for SS1 and there was a paper due every week, but it really helped me understand how to write case studies, research papers, etc. He does have a quirky sense of humor, which is hilarious. I highly recommend him!

hard class, the material is very challenging, but he does his best to make it as clear and simple to understand and digest as possible. i really enjoyed his sense of humor and style of teaching. i didn't think he was too hard in terms of midterms and final, i definitely enjoyed taking 110A with him though!

He is a great teacher, very knowledgeable of the material, very interesting topics, movies are some times funny and interesting. He grades a bit tough, but all it takes is a little effort, his instructions are clear, midterms and final are VERY easy, straight out of the practice exam. Lots of reading, but he expects that you only get the gist of it

Not your normal English class. Topics were often political, and class was always interesting. Definitely the best English teacher I've ever had, and he's full of great techniques to improve your writing. Grades pretty tough on papers, but let's you know why you got the grade you got. Gives a revision option for one paper.

I dropped the class after i challenged him via email on one sided subject matter presented in class. His email response was that my opinion on it didn't "bode well for (my) performance" and that the "coming weeks will only be more troublesome to (me)". He also suggested twice in the email that i drop the class and find another.

As an English major, I can say that he gave the most useful advice for improving my papers than any other professor. His criteria was applicable to any paper and class, not just his personal style or pet peeves for this class.

He makes you work hard, but if you do that he is fair, helpful, and his classes are really interesting. Don't take him if you aren't willing to question things--he's as hard on lazy thinkers as he is on lazy writers.

The readings for this class weren't what I expected, but Miller did a good job with them. Miller is fond of pregnant pauses and sandals in winter, but if you can get past that he's a helpful teacher who'll help you get a better grade.
