I feel that too much participation in "group discussions" was expected: required to have your reply + reply to 2 students, but not allowed to post all on the same day.

Easiest teacher ever!!! took him for both ECN 211 and 212. No test just midterm and final you get 2 chances on both. A very funny man also.

Not too tough of a grader but sometimes assignments were unclear because the class time was too short to cover ALL the material and explain. But overall great

I took Macro Econ with Prof Pratt. I liked econ before i took this class, but i was majoring in engineering, trying to get my grades up. Prof. Pratt's class was super fun and informative. Taking his class is what finally convinced me to switch my major to economics. Econ is difficult subject matter though, make sure that you study!!

Greg guided the class directly by the reading material. His feedback was usually prompt and he seemed to actually enjoy the subject. Greg was helpful when questions were raised. I would take him again but probably in a class that is not accelerated. He was very generous when you put in extra effort to engage in the discussions.

If you're looking for an easy A, Mr. Pratt's class is not the class to take. Also, if you'r not good at studying large amounts of material on your own time, then don't take his winter intersession accelerated course either. He's a rough grader but offers excellent feedback on all of your assignments. You'll definitely learn a lot in this class!

Mr Pratt in my opinion is a great teacher. He explained Economics in a way that didn't bore the class to death, and he did it in a fun and somewhat sarcastic way. People who think that sarcasm is a character flaw probably should take this class with an old/dull teacher. Homework and involvement is required in this class, no easy A's in this class.

Economics can be really dry, that is why taking it with Greg is a good idea. He keeps things interesting and fun. He can be all over the place at times, but learning with him is great. He really gets points across in a different way. I hated economics before taking him, now i love it. Pay attention to his lectures, take notes, show up ever day.

The previous two reviews pretty much summed it up. I would also add that he is totally out of touch with the economic reality of today's world. He appears to be a total shill for the textbook, which is also out of touch with the state of the economy.

His in-person classes might be ok, but his online accelerated course is ridiculous. In addition to heavy weekly writing and exam assignments, he expects you to post on discussin board every week, like a schoolgirl keeping a diary. Unrealistic and not practical for adults. If you must take econonomics, the course at Rio Salado is infinitely better.

Greg's class was extremely fun - never a dull moment. You definitely have to put in your own work - plenty of study time on your own. As long as you read the chapters, you can do a good job in the class. Other than studying, you don't have too many hw assignments to turn in. I would definitely take another class from him.

He is an AMAZING person! and really cares about you. HE is funny and makes coming to class enjoyable, he does cuss alot and uses vulgar laguage. I hate economics but coming to his class was fun. It is an easy class but the assinments, quizes, and tests are NOT easy. and his is so scatter brained that he wont help you. But i would take this class ag

Greg Pratt is an interesting character. He will make you laugh and you will have a smile in the class but once it's time to take his tests, you start to wonder if what he was teaching made any sense at all. good person but horrible teacher.

He clearly laid everything out that I needed to do during the class from the start, and made the assignments easy to understand. Only reason for not getting an A is missing a couple assignments due to my own fault.

If you have some semblance, do your assignments on time, and ask a few questions here and there, you'll be set to go. Economics was pretty rough and dry the first time I took it with a different professor. Greg on the other hand made the subject become extremely interesting for me and is very knowledgeable about the subject as well.

Gregg Pratt is a Libertarian, if you disagree completely with him he will not belittle your beliefs as long as you are not an idiot. Very nice guy, you are supplied with the book and therefore need not spend any money on one. I learned nothing, read less and studied as much as both. Very good class to get rid of the ECN requirement.
