Comment:
Dr. Raner is an excellent biochem professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but is necessary to perform well in the class. Problem sets are important to understand the material. I also recommend recording lectures. He really tries to test students on material that is relevant for medical school and pharmacy school.

Comment:
Dr. Raner is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. He thinks he can come to lecture without preparing. He gives homework that is irrelevant to the tests and doesn't have a clear grading policy. He changes test questions for different forms but the changed working makes the "same" question either very difficult or reasonable depending on yourform

Dr. Raner is a great professor and he is always helpful when you go to his office hours. If you ever do not understand things just ask him and he will explain it. The tests are mostly multiple choice and he is very approachable and friendly. Don't listen to the bad reviews, they're probably lazy.

Dr.Raner is a wonderful prof. He takes time to get to know his students and has an open door policy. I learned alot from his class and he was available to help me decide on what to pursue in graduate school. I would def. recommend him as a professor.

Raner is the best professor i have had to date at UNCG. He really cares about his students and is always willing to help. Tests are difficult but study and you will be fine.Other people who rate him badly have nobody to blame but themselves. You can do well in this class if u are willing to go the extra mile and ask him for help, and he will gladly

He seems to be oblivious to the fact that students are concerned about their grades. Yes, when students work hard their GPA is important to them. It doesn't make any sense to treat them like it shouldn't matter, when it clearly does. Just totally missed the point of my concern. You probably won't get a full A with him.

Dr. Raner is a great professor. He is extremely knowledgable in the subject matter but his greatest gift to students lies outside of the classroom. You will never find a professor more dedicated to the success of his students than Dr. Raner. He is always there to help...always.
