Hated his class and dreaded going to it. Class was not mandatory. Long/boring/confusing/non organized lecture and you take your own notes. States his own strong opinions which gets frustrating and goes on random tangents. He loves history--take his class only if you love history too and can follow along. not helpful

Great teacher, goes off on random subjects a lot but he makes history interesting. Tests are easy, no homework, very willing to take suggestions about how an assignment should be given (like take home, optional, multiple choice, short answer, essay).

Adkins was a really great teacher. I'm not a big fan of history but he actually made me interested. He's not a very harsh grader at all. Sometimes he can be a little random in his teachings but it's all very interesting. I would highly recommend him.

His lectures are really annoying, I hated them. The tests or papers were pretty easy to do though, he doesn't really try to screw you over. He made us read these huge books though, and bring them class, who brings books to class? He has some interesting views on life though. Favorite Quote "Eventually UD will sell out and be selling roach clips in the bookstore with the UD logo on them".

His lectures are dry and disorganized. He is really hard to follow. You do not know where he is coming from or what he wants on his papers. He is really intelligent and I think he would be much better for 300 or 400 level class in something he is interested in. He's really a decent guy.

Incredibly easy class, 3 papers which count as tests, 1 was even optional (no one did it). Papers took about 6 hours to write but I attended class once every 2 weeks. Texts are stupid but help in writing the paper. Would reccomend for an easy A

The class was decently interesting, he brought up many interesting points. The text was kind of pointless, but I liked the way he gave tests and essays, it was easier than just a bunch of useless tests with useless facts to be quized on.

The class consists of useless texts. Instead of relating the class to the present, its all based on the Mediterranean and before the 1500's. We only had two tests and no homework. The class isn't too bad overall.
