He taught us a lot of grammar rules and I honestly learned a lot. He gave us 10 five page essays and a 10 page research paper, but they were on interesting topics so it didn't feel like too much. He allows for two revisions on each. If you do the essay pretty much okay, you will probably get an A-. I wish he told us how to get an A though.

He is a really harsh essay grader. but that doesn't seems too bad when you noticed that no matter how much you ask him how you could improve, he would 1) refer you to the writing center; 2) tell you that you have too many grammar errors. in conclude, it is just not a fine essay no matter how hard you tried. huge discouragement

Such a sweet old man, and such an easy class if you know how to write. It's basically a high school-level English class on Hindu lit. Just read a few of the book he assigns in order to write the book reports and the research paper at the end. Won't notice if you walk out of class. No need to take notes or pay attention at all.

There is a likely chance that you will fall asleep in this class. The readings you are assigned will probably teach you more than his lectures will; he tends to go off on tangents and be inaudible if you sit towards the back. Took "Love in the Middle Ages" with Prof. Darling. Frankly, he is not the most exciting professor and what he teaches isn't directly related to the text. Regardless, he tells you what he expects of you and lets you rewrite your paper and confer with him before handing it in. That's more than I can say about other professors. I recommend Darling.

OKAY...this class was the easiest class I've ever taken at Fordham. Essays are extremely easy, and if you get a low grade he lets you rewrite them anyway. I don't understand the bad ratings below; this class was easy and it ends by watching Indian****.

By no doubt, One of the best and the fairest professors at Fordham. His class is easy as long as you do some of the readings. His class is based on 3 short essays and one final papers. Please don't bash this professor, he is one of the better professors at fordham and is extremely helpful during office hours.

By far my favorite teacher at fordham. His class was the only class I took where I actually learned something. He is very fair in grading. His lets students rewrite assignments for a higher grade. He will help your writing tremendously.

Took Love in the Mid Ages with him as a summer course and loved it! Readings are easy, quizzes are very easy, and the papers are even easier than that! Lets you re-write all papers so it's impossible not to get an A. Take him!

He is a learned Theologian and great teacher. He grades the way a teacher should at college level. Very fair and helpful. Wish I could retake him.
