Julian is one of the few professors who actually tries to motivate you to do something and stand up in what's right. Yes he is all over the place, but his heart is definitely in the right place.

He goes on rants about nothing the entire class, so you don't actually learn anything. He's a big airhead and is useless when you need assistance. Not a lot of work and the classes are dull, since all you do is listen to him talk about his opinions. Take him if you wish, but dont expect to learn or be enlightened.

If you love politics or want to be at least familiar about politics, any class of his will do. He's a smart man who in return wants to know what you're (honestly) thinking. There is no wrong answer. The work is easy. Make sure you get to know him as he's great with networking/advice/connections/recommendations.

If you want to take Political science to either: A) Express/Argue viewpoints or B) Learn something meaningful about our government. Don't take his class. He talks constantly for three hours with very loosely tied together topics. His class is easy but unless you want to hear an old hippie ramble, you'll be bored out of your mind.

I've taken Julian for 4 or 5 different classes. He's unlike anybody you'll ever meet in your life. He comes in wielding a harmonica and sings Bob Marley and tells you that he's seen better days. He's brilliant, a genius really when it comes to politics. I recommend him as a professor that can change your life and how you view the world.

I've taken Dr. J for various classes and he's one of the most intelligent men I've ever known. He treats you as an equal and is so passionate - he simply wants you to be involved in the world and to help make change. He's impacted my life greatly as well as so many other students. He's the best.

I took him for Intro to International Relations. I'm not a poli sci major but I took this class and loved it. I learned a lot and the class was worth taking. No tests just online quizzes and class discussion. I didnt talk at all during the class but did my work and I got an A-

Dr J. is a very intelligent and trustworthy person. He is willing to give all students his advice and clarify world events in an analytical context with respect to everyones viewpoint. In the 1960's Eric Claptons name was written on the Berlin Wall as a God...Julian a God, maybe? I would that he has changed the lives of many students including mine
