I cannot stand Dr. ManeyHe was constantly trying to prove his intelligence by asking questions, and even if you answered them properly he would still add on and try to show you that he knew more. He is very defensive and does not listen to his students or encourage them. I would never recommend this professor to anyone STEER CLEAR

Ok, so all of you who said his classes were hard must have been sleeping. If you come to class and are not in a coma you will get an A. I did NO outside reading or studying and got an EASY A. Maney is SOOOO accomodating and willing to help you do well. Almost anything you want can be turned into extra credit. Take him to boost your GPA & learn

Extremely easy class. Maney's one of the few people at Hofstra who seems to care whether or not you do well and will give you every opportunity with extra credit and assignments. Take him, do your work to the best of your ability, get an A. That simple.

what a great guy! Easily one of the best professors I've had at this school. Always willing to help, or clear up anything. 3 papers, midterm, final. He asks everyday if people have questions about the papers so he gives the students the opportunities to ask about it. excellent class, excellent professor. Must take him!

He is like the sweetest guy ever and he really knows his stuff. He's such a dedicated teacher and is obsessed with his power-point notes. It's A LOT OF WORK for an elective class. He's a hard grader and the work is just insane. (3 LONG papers, Mid, Final) + a gazillion pages of notes.But i love him!

Prof.M is a really good prof! If you are lazy and are not into Soc, he is not the professor to take. He doesn't accept BS excuses for absences, but is fair and is one of the best professors I have ever had at Hofstra University.
