Dr. Seab is a great but tough professor. His lecture seem like they don't make sense but when you're studying they're super helpful. He does activities in class that basically the math problems on the test. My only complaints are that his concept questions on the tests murdered my grade & his homework isn't that helpful. Super helpful out of class

Do not take this professor. Gives a lot of homework and if you don't have knowledge of any physics at all, you're bound to fail. Doesn't teach at all, just gives a heavy amount of assignments. He expects you to already know everything!

He makes physics SO much harder than it needs to be. You have to teach yourself because his teaching method is horrible. He gives you graded assignments the last 10 mins of class on the material he just lectured on that day and expects you to know how to do it with 100% accuracy. Hes a super tough grader and gives a ridiculous amount of homework

You pretty much have to teach yourself. The homework is typically hw from the ch you just did, then read the next ch then do prechapter hw. Its a lot. He doesn't teach much. Basically just gives graded assignments every class. Definitely do the readings or you'll do bad on the in class assignments.

First of all, many of the teachers' here at UNO should have taken a class on how to teach efficiently, rather than focusing on the material that is taught. Dr. Seab seems like a great fellow, but the way he's teaching (lack of communication) isn't effective for someone that knows nothing about physics. Take the time to heed a full warning, yall.

Dr. Seab treats his classes like they take only his class, nothing else. He gives 2 tests the whole semester, so if you mess one up, you're screwed. Very unclear and sounds like every crazy science dorky old man. Would never recommend him to anyone. I wish I had dropped this class.

This guy teaches physics backwards. He doesn't teach more specific examples unless someone asks him. He does too many clicker questions. Half the class, he talks about some random stuff that is not physics pertinent. Absolutely a waste of time to show up to class. Tries to give physics advices which are so vague and unhelpful.

Awesome public speaker, but poor teacher. Somehow makes the subject harder than necessary. Doesn't work example problems, or at least doesn't complete them, and quizzes on concepts before the students even understand them. Tests are not particularly difficult, but homework does not help. Watch YouTube videos, because you will be lost without them.

Dr. Seab really cares about his students. He gives excersies that are to be completed in class that really helps to grasp concepts. He drops the lowest test grade which helps a lot. Also read the chapter, majority of his clicker and concept questions on the exam are similar to the check your understanding in the textbook.

this class is tough all around, and he does not make it any easier for you. Lectures were often long, and confusing to me. never stuck to one topic long enough to understand completely. he cares, but not going to give grades you must work for them. grading scale is pretty big.

Took both these classes. Really great instructor. Really explained astronomical events well. Not an easy course but certainly an interesting one. Gave me greater perspective of the night skies and the heavenly bodies.

Dr. Seab is an excellent teacher! I loved his astronomy classes (and labs) so much that I want to continue studying this subject. I think I may have just started a new, life-long hobby... though, I might even switch my major to physics.

I took Dr. Seab for Astronomy II. He is very enthusiastic about the material and gives amazing lectures. The material isn't super easy, it's a lot to remember, but he gives plenty of chances for extra credit. 90% of the test questions are from the Mastering Astronomy quizzes, so if you study that, you will do well.

Dr. Seab is an excellent teacher. The astronomy classes I took with him were the most fun and interesting classes I ever had at UNO. I will take as many classes with him as possible. Not an easy A, but you can ear one if you put in some effort.

Dr. Seab is one if the best teachers at UNO. I have a life-long passion for astronomy and physics because of him, and even switched my career to science because of him and other UNO physics faculty. He is a gem!!!

Dr. Seab actually made me interested in Physics, which is a huge feat. He is on your side, and wants everyone to pass, but he expects you to do the work. He will meet you more than halfway, but if you aren't willing to study and do your part, there is no way you can pass his class. I would recommend him over any other Physics instructor on campus.

Seab is a beast. I never thought I'd like a difficult class so much. He'll have you tearing your face off by the end of the semester if you such at memorization or formula derivation but if I can swing B's in it you can too. His exams, critical quizzes, and that damned WileyPlus are all very difficult. However, Seab is inspirational. Must take prof

He thinks he is teaching you physics but in reality he is not teaching one thing. He also calls you stupid in class cause you're not as smart as he is. If you want to actually do good in this course. Don't take it.
