Take Prof. Shaw!!! I took him for mandatory religion class and I'm so glad I did. If you aren't into religion too much, I highly suggest him. The class ends up being more moral based with introductory lessons on christianity, judaism, and islam. You hardly have to do anything to get an A. He is very open minded and loves conversation.

Greg Shaw regularly states he is open to students sharing their opinions... but that is only the case if you agree with him. While his course material is questionable, he grades based on personal preference rather than any type of proven subject matter. He lacks an understanding of empathy and is inconsiderate to his students. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS

He is a generally nice person, but is very set in his own mindset and sometimes is not the most open to student's mindsets. There was only 5 assignments, which were each 20% of the final grade. Papers are graded easily for the most part, but there is the occasional questionable comment from him.

Prof Shaw is a great guy, makes you question everything you think you know. Homework is relatively optional, you can still get an A without doing the readings. A lot of open discussion in class. I'd take another one of his classes.

the best professor at stonehill hands down. He actually cares about his students and is the most down to earth person i've ever met. Extremely chill and doesn't assign too much work. Everyone i've recommended his class to has loved him.

Loved his class. So understanding and nice, he will help you with anything and is so laid back. His tests and grading are very fair, you'll do well. He is so kind hearted and free spirited, his class is fun because of this and he is just wacky and enjoyable. I reccommend him highly.

Professor Shaw is a bit eccentric, but I really enjoyed his class. I found a lot of his readings interesting. A huge portion of the class is comprised of discussions. To get a good grade, I highly recommend participating. It doesn't even matter what you say, as long as you speak up. Overall, he is a fun professor and I recommend his class.

Neoplatonism was one of the most interesting classes I've taken. Prof. Shaw is definitely a little bit out there, but he is very interesting and smart. His classes go by fast and you learn a lot. Four papers and not tests. Would recommend.

dude is the man. hilarious. he tells stories about smokin back in the day and even had us listen to matisyahoo. The class is not too hard overall. There was like 2 tests all year and they weren't too hard. no quizzes and you can get by without doing the readings.
