He's a nice person but not a good teacher. Lectures the whole period no other form of learning so sorry hands-on people. Class is based on TESTS nothing else no hw or assignments. He's not very good at lecturing and confuses a lot of people. He has a hard accent so if you have a hard time understanding people with accents I don't recommend.

Took his hybrid class that met on saturdays, due to health problems he only showed up for 1 or 2. Didnt send out a notication of class cancellation in a timely manner. Payed for thinkwell that was used for quizzes and videos and tests were on canvas. A few discussion boards as well. Okay class, but I didnt learn a thing from it.

Hard online course. We used Thinkwellfor Quizzes and exams were in canvas. His exams were nothing on the study guide he mailed. I read the text, took notes, understood the videos, but still didn't do well. He gave out some E.C which got me a C. I recommend you looking at Quizlet first and really reading the question or take B. Su

I took him online and he was not the worse. Just give up on the Thinkwell it takes up all of your time and is useless. He stayed pretty true to the study guide and most answers could be found on Quizlet/Coursehero. What really saved me was the extra credit test that boosts you up 5%.

I took this class online the summer before my senior year and I deeply regret it. The thinkwell activities and videos youre required to watch take up so much time and theres so many. Furthermore, study guides are useless, and the tests are worth 700 points out of the total 1000. Only way to succeed is reading and deeply understand or quizlet ofc.

Overall, good professor. His class is hard but it is not too bad if you come to class and READ the textbook. Reading is a must and his lectures will help to clear up the reading. Prof. Cruz also helps his class earn extra credit if needed. He explains economics a good, understandable way. Study outside class and you'll be fine.

I took this class summer before senior year of high school. You have to purchase thinkwell, which is a $65 program with videos and quizzes. It isn't hard, but it is very time consuming. He gave study guides, but they don't help with tests. The book helps the most. Discussions and tests were on canvas. Tests were timed and open for 3 days.

You will either love or hate how he runs his class depending on how you take it. If you take his class in a traditional setting I've heard his tests are extremely hard. I took it as a hybrid class where all the tests were online and all his test questions are pulled from the free trial of Chegg, and got an easy A using google. Go online if you can.

I took this class as a high schooler during summer and online. I would not recommend him for a first (online) professor. This class in general was difficult to understand and his testes were not any better. There were many english mistakes which made everything even more confusing. You will need the book.

Please do not take his class. I made the choice of taking econ201 with him during the winter, by far the worst mistake I've made, my GPA went down. Tests are extremely hard!! study guides don't help at all and thinkwell absorbs all your time with videos and exercises.

Just study the book and youll be fine in the class. His tests can be a little tough but as long as you understand the material you will be fine. He drops your lowest test grade.

I'm a business marketing major and I didn't learn anything in this Econ class; not helpful. His explanations go no where and his exams in class and online are hard. You have to know how to apply problems first before taking online exams. I would just avoid this professor all together, you'll thank me later

Don't take this class, the professor is confusing and doesn't take the time to explain things out. when you ask him to clarify something he will give you the run around and confusing you even more.

I took this in fall. His lectures is just him telling a story nothing to do with material on exam. I failed most exams and before the final I was at D. I talked to people in my class and we studied together going over problems/terms/etc. I went back home anxious and walked into the final. I don't know what I got, but I passed. Please don't take

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I have nothing against him personally, he seems like a good guy but he is a terrible professor. He is hard to understand with his accent and his lessons and lectures have nothing to do with the tests. Everyone in the class was so confused and lost, i would never take his class again.

I remember taking this course fall semester. Most people were confused and distressed. Cruz is a nice guy, but for a professor he doesn't explain well and his lectures have nothing to do with exams. When it came to taking an exam, they are so confusing! I actually did study and ended up taking econ202 online, no with him it's still hard.

Absolutely oblivious to the struggling class. Study guides are obsolete and his thick accent and use of comedic examples cause the class to be even more confusing. YouTube videos and or a tutor will be your best friend for this course.
