Comment:
Accounting, in and of itself, is not a very fun subject to learn. I found Chhatwal's grading and teaching methods to be very helpful. He was always there if you asked for help. The grade for the course was the average of your three exams, which are long but easy if you know the material. I'd take Chhatwal again.

The people that are complaining about this class wants a professor who doesn't challenge them. Professor Chhatwal really challenges your ability and help you prepare for the CPA. If you find that this class is too challenging for you and can't take on the pressure than you should think about another career.

This class will be the hardest class you will ever take for an Accounting major. He focuses us on preparing us for the CPA Exam and that's how his exams are. There are 3 exams (12 pgs ea), occasionally quizzes, and HOURS of WileyPLUS assignments and HW. Be prepared to spend Be prepared and don't slack off at ALL. Fail Rate is 50%. Good Luck!

If you're taking InterI that's mean you want to be a CPA. This is the toughest class. You have to keep that in mind. Do you want to do better in his class. Get a test bank for your book and do all brief ex, ex, problems, IFRS test and appendix in the back of the book. If you don't want to be CPA then take Vito's class. She will not challenge you.

I only took the financial accounting. My advice, stay away. He's a very nice man, and if you ask him for help one on one he will help; BUT, it is very hard to catch him in his office and he is not good with answering emails at all. His tests are ridiculously hard. You will most likely fail at least one-two of them. Oh & he will NOT curve.

Very difficult class. However, this professor knows the material very well and will challenge your ability. If you can't pass this class, you probably shouldn't become an accountant. He gives you questions straight from the CPA exam and gives real world examples. Extremely helpful if you are having issues. This class requires HARD WORK

this class is very hard because you have to teach yourself everything. he tries to explain the concepts but his examples are not easy to follow and he is all over the place. his tests are impossible but he does offer some extra credit. if you have to take his class stay on top of your work and whatever you do, don't slack off at all.

I'm an accounting major and this is easily the toughest class I've taken so far. I pretty much ignored all my other classes this semester and just focused on this one and ended up with an A. HW is due for every chapter. Attendance isn't mandatory..but you will want to attend. Exams are ridiculous hard. Fail rate in this class is ~50%. Good luck.

I took 5 classes in Fall. This class so far is the hardest one of all but I learned so much from it. You have to work extra hard in this class but you will gain so much knowledge. It is possible to get an A in his class, as long as you put efforts in.

Very difficult professor, about 50% of the class dropped. I butchered the midterm like failed bad, stuck with the class did the extra credit and stayed on top of the final, ended up with a B. He takes whatever grade you get on the final as your grade for the semester if it will help you. Overall good professor, knows the material very well.

He's tough and expects you to do the work, but he is generally a nice guy. He takes forever to grade and will mess up on occasion, but he is an intelligent man and is willing to help almost all of the time (all you have to do is ask). Tests are quite difficult and the lectures are somewhat dry. Accent is not that bad. Hard professor, but nice guy.

Trys hard but its hopeless. gives 10 hours hw assignments. will ruin your social life for a semester. fair enough to try and get you through the class if u give effort. settle down do your work, dont go out, get through it first try!good luck!

He said the average on the first exam is normally around 60something.Got 97, and 100 on the second. You have to study, otherwise you'll end up with even less than that.I highly recommend him.Don't chose easy ways in life.

this class is sooo easy if you are good at math and practice a minimal amount. open notes tests, and pop quizzes that can only help ur grade. if you can't pass this class then i would not think about majoring in the subject.

I thought he was great. if you study, his tests are fair. if you don't, of course they're hard--maybe that's everyone's problem--they didn't study.. it's accounting--it's a dry subject unless you're interested in the field, and even then it's still dry... Chaatwal is a great professor, and i will recommend him to anyone. He helps in any way he can.

Has a passion for what he is teaching, but not for teaching it to students. I don't recommend him at all. Take Boyle or Kleinsmith for accounting they are much better professors.

He is an awful teacher! he picks on you if you have a question, and is condescending. On his first exam he said average score is 53 for most people. He is a touch professor, and writes extrememly fast on board. He blames it on the coffee for moving or talking to fast, but it is just BAD TEACHING!his jokes are funny, but not worth the bad grade!
