Literally the whole class is him going on and on about politics or something else that has absolutely nothing to do with sociology. Then he expects you to write papers and do homework on NOTHING that was talked about in class. Good luck, but honestly just pretend to pay attention and BS your way through papers and you'll get an A.

Rambles a lot, and isn't very clear on what he is teaching. Goes off topic during the class time, and also goes over the allotted time for his lectures. The plus side is that the textbook he uses is free.

If I had a dollar for everytime i heard him say "ya know", Id be rich. Lecture heavy, but he lacks context. His lecture consists of him rambling on about a things he thinks might be relevant but doesnt ever teach you them. Talks way too long and often runs over the time at the end of class. He likes to mumble to himself during his skits and rants.

This man, is an AWFUL Professor....... All Mr. Derosa does is spend the nearly ENTIRE class ranting about President Donald Trump and barely teaching about the Constitution, government, economics... I get he dislikes the President and I will respect his opinion, but the fact he takes up 90% of the class blasting 45 alone infuriates me to no end. I

This professor is very scatter-minded... He doesn't present lectures well & expects the class to know everything, despite the fact he does not teach it properly in the first place. He rarely gives work. In order to keep up with his nonsense, attendance is preferred. To get on his good side make sure you agree with his opinions, especially on exams!

In s sociology class most of our information comes from the textbook which contained most if not all the information necessary to discuss and do the work. He tends to ramble off into random side stories which doesn't relate to contest supposedly taught. Then when you're quizzed, there's so much information that's seems randomly place is disregarded

I am planning on being a Poli Sci major and taking his 101 class was easy, but I wish he actually TAUGHT Poli Sci in more depth and I wish kids cared. It was an easy A so long as you show up, participate, and do the work (3 short papers all semester). Barely used text book. He's kind of disorganized when it comes to lectures but he's a nice guy.

I took his class in the summer. His way of teaching is not only jumpy and unorganized, but also very boring and feels like tortue, as spending around 4 hours of the morning in his class is hell! It is not difficult but bearing through feels impossible. After handing in our exams on the last day, he kept us in class till the end.

Guy Derosa is a mean, mean harmonica player. Catch him outside of class at a jam session...it's awesome. Great teacher and he will give you any extra help you could ever want, and he is very understanding if you have to miss class or a test or are late with a paper. Just don't try and BS him, be honest and he'll work with you. Great guy!

The biggest problem I had with Prof.DeRosa was his haphazard way of teaching, I also wish he would have spent more time talking and explaining the technical aspects of government, not just current events. It also would have helped if the idiots in the class actually cared about the subject too, but that isn't DeRosas fault.

He's definitely not a mean person, but he's teaching is so sloppy and all over the place that it becomes tedious, he doesn't use the book so don't purchase it for any of his classes. And all he seems to teach the same thing to all of his classes. He'll bring in stuff from his sociology class into the state and local government class. Very bizarre.

If you participate in class and try on the essays and tests, you'll get an A. He's a good teacher... he will ramble about current events, but if you like politics you will probably enjoy the class time. What are on the tests are not usually mentioned in class, but he gives great study guides and hes an easy grader. highly reccomended!

Hes a nice guy, definitely someone to be friends with, but hes ridiculously disorganized and made his tests directly from the book to the point where we didn't even come close to discussing anything relevant in class. dont waste your time
