Best proffesor you can take in IUP if you are a political science major. Her classes are not difficult and if you attend some of her classes and read the book then you'll do fine in all her classes not just PLCS250.

Dr. Torges is a nice, fun lady & assignments are easy. A few quizzes but study a little the night before & you'll get at least a B. Attendance is not mandatory, theres probably 30-40 kids in my class & 10 show up on a regular. Haven't looked at the book at all, grading guidelines are clear & easy. Loves students, doesn't take herself too seriously

Dr. Torges is a very good professor, but she is an even better advisor. When you need help with any concerns, she will go out of her way to help you. Her classes cover pretty iteresting matieral. The skills learned will help you out in law school. She uses the socratic method in class disscusion which makes the class fun, yet very informitve.

I have her now, everytime I'm in her class, she makes me wanna fall asleep. She knows what she's talking about, very smart lady, she jus don't know to get it out to other people. She doesn't email you back. I emailed her 2 days ago and have yet to receive one back. Her quizzes are hard, she should call them test.

Lectures were really boring and I normally had no idea what she was talking about...but the journal was easy to do..write about a political topic pertaining to current events in the news...tests weren't bad as long as you studied the night before. overall, easy but really boring!

One of the best profs. Lots of interesting (often hilarious) discussion that is also educational. not boring AT ALL. best thing is that she is "not a deadline person." so if something happens, she won't ruin you for turning something in late.

this class was terrible, not only was attendance not required (which doesnt help your grade at all) she only grades you on your tests which are extremely hard and the things she talks about in class she tests you on the chapters we didnt even go over. she is very unorganized and unhelpful if you need help.

She is a nice teacher and knows what she is talking about. Kind of boring lectures so its sometimes hard to focus. BUT!! EASY! Attendance is not mandatory and I have missed my fair share or classes..I still have an A! The study guides she gives before a test are helpful. If you take the time to do them, then there is the test right there, easy A!!

Dr. Torges is one of the best professors here. She is awesome. Class was very boring though. Attendance is NOT mandatory which was great for a 905 class. Tests are kinda difficult but always curves. Only one project which is really easy. Received a "B" and never went to class! She's awesome.

i am not into politics at all, but she was an awesome prof. she is very nice and understanding. she is rly funny and you do get a lot out of the class. sometimes the lecture was dry b/c of my lack of interest in the sub but overall i was rly glad to take the class..its an easy A ..attendence isnt required and u rly dnt need the textbook..take her!

Very argumentative and closed minded. Likes to initiate discussions then becomes defensive if your position differs!Class is very boring and not intellectually challenging. Good class for nitwits and suckups. Not a good class for students looking to build a foundation for the future. Classes should be building blocks for the future, her's are not!
