Seriosuly don't take. Tests are impossible (all short answer) dont waste your time in this class. Finds the randomest details and puts them on the exams. Including formulas about computers you will never have to know again

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! So many people told me he was the "easiest" CIS teacher. . .WRONG... I HAD a 4.0 until this class because his tests are unfair to say the least. I read all the chapters, studied all the vocab for 11 hours and still got a C because he is just unfair..... Nice person but save yourself some disappointment and do not take him

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He is a great person and very hilarious BUT you will NOT get more than a B. He is the toughest and most illogical grader. No matter how hard you study for the exam you will NOT get more than an 80. Literally impossible. Same goes with presentations. Take any other CIS professor, they are known at Bryant for being easy As

Comment:

Very nice guy and loves his job and students. This class is very difficult no matter who your teacher is if you aren't much of a computer person. If you ask he will really help you with the labs. He knows students struggle so he tries and gives easy points from time to time. If you have to take CIS he is your best bet.

Hal is the nicest professor! He gets so excited about the topics and keeps the students interested. His tests aren't that difficult and as long as you turn in the hw by the end of the semester then he doesn't care. I would recommend taking him to anyone that asked.

Great guy but alright professor.You will need to work alot on excel and access and he will never teach anything about either programs. But he will help you through the homework if you ask. The test are easy but you will need to study for them.

You learn nothing of interest in his class and the tests are difficult. Half of the questions on the test are so difficult to understand let alone answer and he is not clear at all on what to expect for his test. He is helpful if you go to his office hours however I would not recommend taking him unless you want to be constantly frustrated.

Okay, i did everything this guy said, worked my ass off in his class and he even said i was looking at a high b in his class. Just got my grade back and its a b-. wtf this guy is a joke, i learned nothing of interest or importance and the class ruined my gpa. dont take this class unless you want to work hard and be disappointed

Hard to believe this guy has a job. Impossible to figure out what he wants in assignments, because he hardly explains them and provides little clarification when asked. He literally doesn't teach anything in classroom sessions. Grades with a coin flip - heads:A, tails:B. Avoid unless you like frustration and abmiguity.

Very nice guy. The material is nothing exciting necessarily, but if you pay attention you will get a good grade. Raise your hand in class a lot, as participation seems to count a lot. I got an A- but I felt like I gained nothing knowledge-wise outside of memorizing some random acronyms. Take someone else if you actually want to learn something.
