Comment:
I've had Professor Regis for Statics and am now taking Dynamics. He understands the engineering profession and he know's what he's doing, but his teaching is very fast and easy to fall behind. He seems to skip a lot of important points that come up in the work. Expect to teach yourself from the book and spend a lot of time on homework.

The professor comes off like a bit rough, but he isn't that bad. He speeds through problems and his handwriting is horrible. It is a tough course, so be prepared to read and practice problems. He is a very lenient grader, and gives a lot of partial credit. Most of his quizzes/test problems comes from homework/lecture problems.

It's his method or the highway. Expect to teach yourself the material as the videos and powerpoints were VERY unclear. He gives great feedback on tests and assignments but is a semi-tough grader. He also gives more than enough chances to redeem yourself and sometimes even bonus points. You will have to work for an A.

This is an online class and this professor never helps you out. He is so confusing it almost look like he does not know what he is teaching. Please do not take this class. His powerpoints are confusing. You will have to teach yourself from google and youtube.

Online Class. When asked for clarity, he barely gave information as if he wanted you to figure it out. Yet the Power points given weren't clear enough to pass the assignments. IT IS AN EASY CLASS but I had to teach myself instead of him. By the time I got a hang of what I was doing wrong, I was taking the final exam. Too frustrating for one credit.

He's one of the laziest professors I've ever had. All he does skip through the material on powerpoint presentations like it's nothing. Yes, it's an Engineering class. Does that excuse the professor from actually having to put effort into teaching the class and making sure the students understand the material? No, it doesn't.

He blows throw the book piece by piece. He skips important things and nothing really makes a whole lot of sense. This may be because it is his first time teaching this class in 15 years but still that is no excuse. I do not recommend taking him for this class. If you do be prepared to teach yourself.

I took this class online and he expects you to know some of it and isn't clear on some topics, especially the little things that you need to know. I feel like for a one credit class you have to put it a good amount of work but it wasn't all to hard. Just took time figuring everything out.

Statics is a hard class. That being said, professor Regis gives you the resources to pass the class. If you go to his office hours he will help you. You HAVE to do problems to get through the class. Period. I took his hybrid class. It was definitely harder than a regular class, but still passable with an A if you're ready to work for it.

Professor Regis might seem intimidating at first but once you warm up to him within a couple of weeks his class will become more enjoyable. He gives short lectures and usually works examples in class. Most of the classes involve extra credit opportunities for new material and you're allowed to work in groups. Online HW is easy. Easy class.

Dynamics is a tough class. Professor regis provides online videos that students can watch along with the in class lectures. These videos were very helpful when going over the material. Good sense of humor and professor Regis relates the material to real life situations which helps students to better visualize and understand the concepts.

Good overall experience. I enjoyed only having to go once a week. This was a hybrid course, so it was very self paced! If you can't handle that, find a class to sit in! Tests and quizzes were very fair, and the professor was willing to sit with you after class, and had his own tutor available just for his class!

Very vague. Expects you to run all of Matlab and Excel from a single Powerpoint. Reposts semester old announcements with errors in them-only to correct them later on with reused announcements FROM THE SAME SEMESTER? Only form of instruction is PowerPoint. Links to youtube videos that don't cover same material. Does not give example assignments.

Statics in class. My lowest test grade was the first one. After that I got in the groove of things. Dynamics hybrid, I already knew how he worked. Most think he is tough and arrogant. Not tough yes arrogant. Enjoyed the material (EE Major writing)

I have taken prof Regis for 1006,1007,and statics. Listen, he's a little abrasive, but the reality is you are trying to become an engineer, so don't cry about the work load or his teaching style. If I ever had a question he was more than willing to help. His tests are not hard if you STUDY daily. Keep taking easy prof and you'll be ill prepared

DO NOT TAKE! Moves too quickly through book to give adequate time to study. Mastering engineering website is a $50 waste of money and time that does not help you understand the material, and that's probably because the book is also terrible. His tets/quizes are from another book, you will be flying blind on these and they are MUCH harder than HW.
