Henry is stuck in the past. He refuses to use MyCourses and instead makes his own website which he never posts grades. It's final exam week and I honestly have no idea how I'm doing. He also is unable to be clear and concise. Every document he posts will be 6-15 pages all with unneeded garbage. He's a tough grader and will take off for silly things

CSCI 320 is a masterclass is taking a simple clear concept or assignment, and scattering any information that a student could conceivably need across a biblically large assignment or lecture. Lectures are an incessecent mental assault on the listener's sanity. You won't know your grade until the last day. "Grade's don't matter", hollow reassurance.

Gives long, dry lectures of reading material he has also posted online. Anal about assignments and his unwritten rules + minutiae to the point where he took points off my presentation because some of us had hats on. Avoid this ego trip at all costs.

Etlinger is pretty bad. Originally, I believed that it was due to the course topic being dry, however one day with a sub proved otherwise. He is 100% dependent on powerpoint slides that he didn't make (cancels class if they dont work), spends 15 minutes of every class telling us about some links to articles he didn't read but MIGHT be useful.

Excellent professor, very detailed assignments so you know exactly what to expect. The previous comments are inaccurate, if you respect his policies and turn your assignments in on time, you will do fine in his classes. He is very detailed oriented so make sure you read, re-read, and re-re-read his assignment instructions and you'll do fine.

Had crazy rules on every assignment and project on both how they were done and the way they were submitted and lengthy explanations to everything that only served to confused people. Very boring and clearly stuck in a time long past.

Assignments are outlined on a website that is randomly updated with new material. Assignments simple or complex are outlined in 3-8 page PDF files. You must read the entire thing to know what to, where it could have been outlined in 3-5 sentences. VERY boring. He had to approve my co-op 2 weeks after I was far, far away from his class. NEVER again

Do not recommend. Clearly an administrator. Lectures are boring and useless, material covered was mostly useless, major projects were crammed into three weeks with ludicrous deadlines. Writes essays for assignment and document, unbearable to read 20 page assignment requirements and try to understand what you need to do.

The most fundamental problem is that I don't think he has any knowledge to offer me. The ideas hey tries to convey often seem inaccurate, and his delivery is mediocre. The homework is little more than busywork. The only valuable part of the class might be practice presenting. It's made me reconsider whether college is right for me.

An old school professor that likes to combine many supplementary sources into lectures. Class exams were okay if you are able to learn the material on your own. Lectures are dry and disorganized. Expect a high work load. Spends way too much time on procedure. The syllabus was about 26 pages long...

Very Rude & Cold Personality! just hope that you don't get into trouble & have to go to his office - whether assignment issue or CS related issue, because he will not listen to you and will only tell you his opinion of you. My advise, avoid him at all costs! I have yet to hear from a CS student who is in good terms with him or remotely liked him.

Hank is overall not a bad guy. He just has a strange personality. He likes to show off how much he knows, which makes him seem like an ass. He, however, isn't horrible at teaching and you can easily pass his class with a B or an A if you can handle boredom everyday.

I don't see what the big deal is. I thought he was very straight forward and clear. I can see how some would say he's boring, but I don't see it. He's a fair grader, and gives partial credit. He is picky on little things, but that's him. He's a B+ to an A professor, only students who want a spoon fed grade complain.

Terrible professor/teacher/lab instructor. He basically decided to do an experiment with us in terms of grading and lab work, and had us suffer for it's demise. I did my best to switch labs before he could ruin my grade too much. Avoid at all costs.

Seriously, just avoid him...all he does is complain for hours, and put people to sleep. And, he's really anal about assignments being absolutely perfect the way he wanted them, or you'd pretty much barely pass. Just stay away.
