Comment:
Worst professor I took this semester. If you do not already have a very solid understanding of mechanics, choose a different class. He is very hard of hearing, so asking questions is a no-go. He mumbles and is impossible to hear, scribbles on the board, and seems oblivious to the fact that many students are lost. Hard pass.

(The man is a human whisper)This teacher has a really thick accent, is very quiet and nearly deaf. (Hard to ask questions), but really tries. Don't take him unless you have a background in physics or are good at learning on your own. Otherwise, the quizes are very easy (beware, one question) and tests aren't too bad. Note Hari Haripada in RMP

Dr. Saha is a UCF treasure! This man is so smart and his lectures reflect that. Though not an easy A, his class is def doable especially with all the outside help UCF offers. He's very nice & is almost always in his office so you can drop in to ask him any q's. Don't be fooled by prev comments, you get the grade you work for. Loved him! Take him!

Comment:
Saha is hard to understand on the good days, impossible on the worst. He tends to give a "short" lecture and then the assigned lab for the day. The lectures are mostly worthless and don't prepare you at all for the labs. The labs don't help much with the necessary information and are more busy work than actual physics labs. The tests are short.

Comment:
Saha gives an hour long lecture each class that is extremely hard to follow and understand. The entire class is an unorganized mess. The TA will never get your grades back to you. If you study his practice problems and understand them, you should be fine. But this class is the biggest pain and really is not worth the effort.

Comment:
Literally the worst class i have ever taken. I took physics 1 and got an A. Saha makes this class ridiculously impossible. The labs are stupid and do not help whatsoever. He only collects 1 per test, so 4 total. They make no sense and have no instructions. Tests are 4 questions including a concepts and a mathematical each. Overall, horrible class.

Physics is a difficult topic to learn and Saha did't make it any better. He cares for his students but his lectures are hard to follow at times due to his small and sloppy hand writing and mumbling. 3 exams, quizzes & web-assign homework for each chapter. Really study HW & recitation problems & you will do well on the exams .

Comment:
Saha isn't that bad. He is difficult to understand and tends to spend too much time rambling on the same subject instead of moving on, but his tests are fair and he offers plenty of practice material. Though not an easy A, this class is fairly simple for a physics course. Just do the homework and recitation problems. Go to class. All will be okay.

Saha's lectures are tough to sit through but he's smarter than he lets you believe. He really cares that you learn the material and will spend a great deal of time with you IF you ask. His quizzes and tests are straight forward if you do what he asks of you. Easy class if you learn the material.

He is a horrible teacher. Does not know how to explain concepts well. Barely speaks English. Class attendance is mandatory (sign in sheet and occasional iClicker questions), but I would just do other work/read the textbook while he babbled on. Tests are straightforward and you get a formula sheet. Easy to do well if you read. I would take him agn.

Saha rambles and speaks over his TAs who actually know how to explain concepts. I've learned to rely on the book - luckily it's a much better teacher if you follow it with moderate concentration. The labs for this class are pure garbage and just busy work - they confused my partners and I more than they taught anything. No actual lab instruction.

Though Dr. Saha is knowledgeable about physics, he cannot teach it to others. He is vague and unclear when "working out" problems (which he never completely finishes)and loves to ramble, assuming that you can understand his mumbling. He is useless in his office hours and has a hard time understanding questions asked of him. Free-response tests.

Comment:
Dr. Saha has no clue what he is doing. He is knowledgable in physics, but his handwriting is illegible, his flexibility with working to help his students learn is minimal. He has a T.A. do all his grades and doesn't keep record of the grades himself. When you ask him a question he doesn't understand and mumbles a random unrelated response.

Alright the man is horrible, it seems he's changed over the couple years. He does try to explain things but sometimes the explanation is "Because you're supposed to know". Test questions are easy just write every single tiny step or you get points off and I mean EVERY step. He may still take points off because he can, complaining helps a little

Dr. Saha is very sweet. He really does take the time to help students in and outside of class. He has an accent, but not impossible to understand. If you attend and pay attention in class, you will get a good grade. He also teaches you the concepts, not just the problems. I would say overall, a great Physics teacher.

He is a little hard to understand but he is a really sweet guy and cares about his students learning the materials. Physics is not a fun subject but he makes it not bad at all. He lets you know exactly what to expect from the test so as long as you study his examples you will be fine. You can definitely get an A if you try.

He's a really nice guy and really wants his students to get an A. Although he's not the easiest professor to understand, if you try hard you'll do well. Tests are quite easy. If you pay attention in class and practice the problems/concepts you'll do great.

All he does in class is puts up slides which come directly from the book and gives you a few extra practice probs to do. He never has the answers to the problems so you have to work them out on your own. His quizzes are directly from the webassign hw and pps he gives in class - not hard. The tests are a little tougher but doable. Nice man! TAKE HIM

Independent of who is teaching, physics is a hard course to master. Dr. Saha makes ample time to help students during office hours and he responds quickly to e-mails. Heres and insider hint: email him questions that you are having problems with and he'll review them in class. Dr. Saha is an excellent teacher teaching a difficult class.

This is probably one of the easier/better physics I professors but that isn't saying much. He cares about your success in the class and is willing to help in office hours. Try to attend every class to get the inclass examples and make sure you UNDERSTAND how to do them and the concepts behind them. Summer A goes by too fast and we only had 2 tests.
