Dr. Stone spoke in my planning class for 2 weeks, and I've come to the conclusion that this man is a pure GENIUS. He doesn't try to overpower you with his intellectual ability, but instead he wants you to be on the same page, no matter what the issue. His lectures are great! I walked out of class with a full understanding and feeling very motivated

Dr. Stone expects you to apply yourself, if you don't apply yourself then you will not get a good grade. He's one of the best prof's on campus. He actually cares about students, not just his paycheck.

The problem:he's not teaching at a better school or department. Instead he gets an amount of lazy students who get tumors when they think. Teaches you how systems and values interact and affect the world, an important tool for any field. He also acts as a model on how to think and to ask questions instead of nodding while reading some book.

Great teacher. Hes been alot of places and he knows alot of things. I have learned alot from him. Ive had him for 3 classes and im taking another one next semester. Stone gets his students to think outside of the box. takes a while to get his style but its not a class where he lectures and then you have to spit it back out on his tests

Overall very knowledgable and a good teacher. But beware he can be very unclear about what he wants from you. His views can be a somewhat unrealistic and arbitrary but they do give an interesting perspective on planning. His models and ego can be a little annoying but he does keep the class very interesting. A good challenge but worth it.

Dr. Stone is a great professor, who gives students every chance to do well. He is a bit hard - if you have a hard time with abstract thinking - but, he is well worth the challenge. I have had him for 2 classes and in both he shows care for the students

Dr. Stone is a very smart man with alot of experience. I walked into class expecting to learn policy and regulation but came out with so much more. He should teach the models but under a different course name. ANd teach policy in that name.

cool, easy-going. very informing. best prof i've had so far. he'll call you out if you talk funny, but only for the better. pay attention in class and it's an A. talks about interesting stuff. needs to come drink some cold beer with me.

We had projects to do the entire semester. The only topic that I learned anything about was the topic that my project was on. The class was supposed to be about coastal planning but i did not learn anything about that.
