Fairly easy professor as long as you attend class. Attendance was 50 pts. I usually made a 100 on his quizzes if i did all the examples and the homework from the chapter. test were not hard if you study.

This teacher is very helful GO TO HIS STUDY SESSIONS THEY ARE EXTREMELY HELPFUL I AM NOT KIDDING GO TO THEM!!!! The best thing to do with him is to do the example problems in the book whichever one he gives, his best aspect is that he gives quizzes that were pretty easy if you study two nights before briefly.

He asks questions like "Who doesn't understand this?" in a class of 200 people..... Who's going to raise their hand and be ridiculed in that situation? He WILL make fun of you if you give him the opportunity. I was not at all comfortable asking him for help.

Hes a funny guy! He knows alot about the subject, and is pretty good at pouring it out. Just do your hmwk, pay attention in class, and spend a little time in the book, and you'll be alright.

If you want a good grade do the homework problems. If you do all of the homework problems then you will do okay on the test and perfect on the quizes. He does throw in a few problems each test that he doesnt think you will get. Ex. one question on the first test we didnt cover until the end of the semester...

95 and above is an A+, so you really do not have to do phenominally well on tests to get a good grade. Although people are right that there are occasional "tricky" elements on his tests, they are undeniably exactly like the problems he assigns from the book, as are the quiz problems. If you know how to work the problems, you'll do great.

terrible teacher. His lectures are ridiculous. Nothing he teaches is on the test. He just writes**** all over the board and expects you to understand it. Thrasher is hard also but I atleast he is helpful.

His test questions were totally crazy. Most of them were impossible to study for. His teaching is a joke and you have to do well on quizzes to get a good grade in the class... i ALWAYS make A's in chem and i had to work my living ass off for an -A.

I heard that he was easier than Thrasher for Chem. I am a pretty good student, but I did not like his style of teaching. Tests are tricky, and he doesn't help much. I learned everything on my own or got help from my friends. Do the HW problems, and you will pass the quizzes.

He's nice and helpful, but not very clear on what to expect on quizzes. I sometimes feel so lost when trying to do homework and studying for quizzes. Exams are not bad, but quizzes are terrible! Try to take an easier professor than Blewitt.

I had Harry for Organic Chem, and 3 new college classes. He was very helpful in my years there as long as you pay attention, participate, and actually ask questions he will help you out. He was a very caring professor, and I had a great rapport with him outside of the classroom as well. Always helped advise me on where to go whether in school or in life. His sense of humor was very dry but it can be very funny at times.

I have Bing twice for New College seminars and, although he is challenging, he is absolutely my favorite professor ever! I was a Psych major but he made me want to take Chemistry (luckily, I was a senior and graduated before I lost my mind). Our senses of humor matched and he was more than willing to explain difficult subject matter if you bothered to ask. His retirement is a significant loss for the University of Alabama.

Maybe its because he's retiring (he did so in the spring), but he's fairly laid back. He teaches the material very logically (though he's prone to skip stuff and not fully answer questions). His sense of humor has already been covered. His test aren't curved because their multiple choice. All I can say is that he made coming to class almost fun.

Blewitt has a nice sense of humor, yet he does NOT curve on test. He is hard to understand, but I guess if you read the material before class you can get an idea of what he is talking about

He explains things well but goes into too much detail. Hard to tell what might be on the test. Doesn't believe in curving grades. Beware.
