I thought Dr. Wistrand was absolutely fabulous. His enthusiasm for his field of study was inspiring, and I am planning on taking more of his classes. Highly recommended. His content was clear, you are just expected to read prior to attending class. He is one of the most approachable and nicest professors I ever met. Tests are hard, pay atn to exp.

He's a really intelligent man and I find his class interesting, but I love biology. He is enthusiastic about things like "DNA scaffolding" and Prairie Dogs and Fruit flies. He also knows all our names and waves at you in the halls. He's probably my favorite professor.

Wistrand has a boring, put-you-to-sleep kind of voice. He also can't hear well, so you have to yell at him. He's a stickler for the rules - no food, no exceptions. His teaching style seems to ramble without direction and he goes off on tangents fairly often. His lab was less than useless: it was lecture part II. Don't take him if you cant avoid it.

Wistrand is such a sexy man. whew. He has aged with grace. He's so completely helpful and laid-back. He lays out explicitly what he expects from students and assignments. I really ENJOYED his class...especially after the tyrant Finco.

He was great. Don't listen to people saying 100 was hard. I had absolutely no problems. It was really easy and he's really laid back. All lectures on blackboard so attendance doesn't really matter. He's just so nice.

He's incredibly nice and would probably be amazing in a class of bio majors. He expects way too much of us in a non-major class that says it will be taught with the assumption that we know "absolutely nothing" about biology. He WILL work with you, but it's very very hard to get him to think on your very, very VERY basic level.
