Oh my god! Do not ever take this class w/an English course. I worked my butt off in this class. He talks to you with disrespect and expects you to laugh about it.But he will help you if you ask for it, but you have to ASK!!or you'll go down. I wouldn't choose him if I wanted to give speeches.It was not fun

If you don't want to work your butt off do not take this class. If you want to really learn then yes, think about Lamberson. He is a hard teacher that expects 120% from every student. You either like him or hate him. Overall I feel that he helped pull me out of my shy zone. He is a good instructor for those willing to learn.

Give this one some serious thought if you get him for this class! He is very picky, has rules for everything, and little respect for the students. If you can stifle your own personality and become a robot you've got a good chance. He wants to write on a blank slate!!

Quit whining-this is college, not preschool. Yes, he's hard; but, having made it through his class (with hard work and an A), it's not impossible to do well and, hey, you just might learn something! I hated every minute of this class, but do not regret for a moment the knowledge I acquired. We're big boys and girls now...right?

Very picky!! Everything has to be EXACTLY how he wants it. Takes off points for things that don't matter a bit. He has a boring voice and talks until the second class lets out. If he says he's going to let you out early, that means 3-5 minutes. WAY to much work for a basic class. Don't take this teacher!

Old and boring. Very picky. Helped me ith an assignment and I made a D on it. He told me to fix it and when I asked how he said Just fix it. Don't take this class! He takes points off for the dumbest stuff that does not matter and you don't get to pick your topics for your speeches. you have to pick off of his list of stupid topics that no one is interested in!

Yeah he can be hard, but the second you ask for help he drops everything to make sure you understand. As long as you do what he says you'll be fine. Sure, it can limit your "creativity," but he's there to show you how to write a speech. Nothing else.

This guy's syllabus is a book, and that's not an exageration. It's about half an inch thick. He needs to lighten up. The guy is too critical and wants things done his way or the highway. The work load is rediculous. I had to work harder on his 1 course than I did for all 4 of my other classes combined. I strongly recomend seeking someone else.

Two words..Obsessive compulsive! BEWARE!You must work your butt off to get an A especially if you arent the speech giving type of person.Make sure your outlines are perfect the way he wants them.Just when you think its perfect,its not! Peeps miss more points on the outline then the speech itself!

He's not all that bad as everyone says he is. He was actually one of the better teachers. Yeah, you had to work harder and put some effort into your speeches but people who took the time to do so did perfectly fine in his class. Very clear about assignments & not hard, maybe a little time consuming.

Do not take this professor. I got an "A," but it was WAY too much effort for a required class, and a class that is usually a "blowoff" for other teachers. Everything fun, spontanious, and charismatic is systematically removed. Also wants abnormally fast talking rate. Worst class I've taken.

Hmm...lets just say that if you don't like to do work, don't take this class. It requires much more time then most people are willing to give to get an A in this class. I got a B, barely, but I had to work for it. If you think speech should be an easy A, then don't take his class!!! BE PREPARED!

Too much work, thats all i can say! This class carries a HUGE workload for a simple "everybody has to take it" gen. ed. You must follow HIS exact guidlelines to get an A, the topics are bland and boring and my advice to you is find another teacher if you must take this class, Avoid Lamberson!
