Comment:

He was a nice professor, but he was VERY boring. It is not an easy A, but it is possible to do well in his class by studying the textbook and problems. Many students were annoyed with him, but really he just held high standards for them and expected them to act like adults, attend class, and bring their textbooks. He expected his students to learn.

Comment:

Good professor, if you are not clear on a subject ask him and he will clarify. He does assume that you have a basic understanding of mathematics before entering his class, which is not unreasonable considering the level of course work.

Comment:

Quizzes and tests more from book than from the lectures or PP's. Better off reading book than attending class. Limited points available(400)makes it difficult if you bomb a quiz or test. If you have another option, use it.Not UCO's finest, but not the worst either.Seems to care about students, but lack of test review or instruction says otherwise.

Tests are hard, and you need to read the book to make an A. You have a quiz each unit that will show up on the test. Must know how to do stuff he does on board b/c it will be tested. Gives formula sheet. Will curve only some tests. Very few pts, so if you bomb a test, you will have a hard time. He's nice, but most people didn't come to class.

He is nice and slow. So slow that if you fall a sleep for the whole class you will wake up at the end and he will be on the same page. He explains everything and then he explains it all again and again. This is a good class to take if you can't read becaus he will read the book to you. He should read to pre school kids at nap time

I took Operations Management with Dr. Pourbabaee. He is kind and funny, but a very very boring lecturer. This class ate a lot of people's lunch just because he puts everyone to sleep. He'd be a great math teacher but I would recommend taking a different professor for a theoretical course. This was a low stress, albeit boring, class.

He is pretty funny and a really good professor. Class isn't mandatory, but if you want to learn all that math you must be there otherwise you will feel behind. He gives you a list of homework, but you don't have to do them, it's just for practice. Really great, i would definitely take his class again!

Pourbabaee is pretty entertaining. No attendance requirement, but if you dont show up EVERY day, you'll get behind very quickly. Don't really need a book, as he gives you a packet with everything you need to pass. Easy class if your half way decent at math and nice professor.

Awesome teacher.Listen to him very carefully and do all the homework he gives you. Go home and practise what was done in class before next class. Understand the chapter material to answer objective question on exam. Do this and make the easy A.He does his part fantastically and we must do ours.Good luck.

Do not miss a single class or you will be lost. I learned a lot from his class, but you have to pay very close attention and lots of practice. Its the subject matter thats tough. His class is loong and boring and exams are quite tough. If i took this course again Id make an a, but man science is tought overall. I would still recommend him though

I think he changed .....horrible. goes over your head. theres only 3 test and then the final. the test have about 10 questions on them each. the test wouldnt have been too hard if he knew how to teach the material.

Awesome teacher.Class can be boring but he does his best to make it interesting,makes sure that you actually learn the material. Had him in a one night a week class,only stayed the whole time once. His laugh is the best!He cares about students and wants them to be happy.Very genuwine.Knows we have more 2do then his class. Attend. isnt mandatory!
