I have loved this class. I've had to study a crapload for it, but I can deal with that. Dr. Mattingly has a passion for animals/lifeforms that is inspiring, even to a non-major. I highly recommend this course, only if you don't mind studying a ton!

Very good professor. Does a thorough job explaining the material. At least tried to make an 8am class interesting (and sometimes did a good job). If you have to take any classes taught by this Prof, I recommond taking his section (especially biol 1110.)
