She is really nice but teaches straight from the text which can get boring and make me not want to come to class. Posts study guides. You'll do good if you come to class. I ditched majority of the semester and got a C+. Oral exams are easy also.

By far one of the best Spanish teachers in the department. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, but she is unbelievably sweet and helpful. I recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Spanish.

She is a great professor! She explains things in simple terms that finally make sense to me now after 101 and 102. She always writes examples on the board and makes sure that you understand. She is very organized. She makes class fun and she is really sweet and friendly. Definitly take her if you have the option!

Comment:

Such a sweet teacher! Lives up to the hype, and makes you feel at ease in class. Taking a conversational spanish class may seem intimidating, but if you take it from her you'll have no problem! Hardly any hw, only short readings from the book. As long as you study for the written tests and somewhat prepare for the orals, you'll do fine!

Heather Kurano is one of the most fun, intelligent, helpful and understanding professors I have had. I highly reccomend taking one of her classes
