Comment:

The best instructor I have ever had. I learned a lot from her, and it showed with the classes I have had beyond hers. She does not choose sides or pick favorites; she only pressures her students in a postive way to improve thier writing skills, only if she knows a they are struggling. Her class is also very entertaining.

I actually know her from another school. She always took her work seriously and my guess is that she's become a better teacher from experience. Academics aside, I got to know her personally, better than most, and she was incapable of being unfair. Her middle names could have been "helpfulness" & "clarity." Sounds a little corny, but is true. [Hot!]

Shes one of the hardest professors at NCMC if not the hardest so know that when taking her class. She makes herself avaiable to students for help, but the class is really hard and frustrating. And I like English.

Heather is one of the best professors at NCMC & in general. She is "hard," but only because she expects her students to do their best. If you're a wimp and whiner, don't bother, but if you want to be challenged by someone who is brilliant & understanding, then take her class. I dare you!

Simply amazing! Anyone who has a problem with this instructor has a problem with attitude. She's fair, hardworking, clear, and tremendously helpful. I even got a scholarship because I improved so much in writing.

She graded us on attendance even though my son was sick, and I was in the hospital. Also, she could not explain what she wanted, and used her grading to punish people who weren't her favorites, trying to get them to drop.
