I took her my freshman year, we went to a different state for a tournament and went to her for the work I would be missing, she ended up not giving me all of the work I would be missing and would not let me make it up when I got back, definitely contributed to me failing that class in the end

Heidi taught Classical Myth (a 101 class) like it was a 4000 level class. Her guidelines for assignments and papers are not clear at all. She has two exams the entire term and they are difficult where the class avg was a 74 (and she thought that was good)?! Expects you to teach yourself from the book. Overall, interesting class. AWFUL professor.

Heidi is most definitely an interesting individual but she is an awesome professor. There is a ton of work but if you do it, you wont want to rip your hair out. She is very funny and witty so class is never boring. Overall, if you want to learn something, take one of her classes but be prepared to work, it is NOT a cake walk.

It is very hard to understand her with her heavy accent. I feel as if she favors students and does not have a straight opinion on the issues. When you stat an opinion she just stares at you like you have no idea what you are talking about. Her paper criteria is useless becasue she doesn't explain what she is clearly looking for in the paper.

I definitely have confidence in her knowledge of the subject matter. She lives in greece for half the year, for christ's sake. Show up and do your homework and you'll be fine. But since we're in college that's not really a lot to ask. so stop complaining. If I were a professor I would probably expect the same amount of work. She's funny and witty.

Heidi is Challenging, it's true. But the knowledge you get out of the classes she teaches is well worth the amount of work put into it. She doesn't like lazy people, enough said. She expects you to do work, and do it well. She may be scatterbrained and absent minded, but she doesn't assign massive amounts of homework in a short period of time.

Hiedi is a great professor. She does seem to favor some students over others but is only because they participate. Her accent is heavy, but her English is fine. She doesn't take any crap and has a very interesting opinion of the world. Give her some respect, she speaks 6 languages.. love her hair

Very unclear and scattered in lectures. Last second assignments and changes in work make it very hard to understand what is expected of the students. I thought this class would be interesting, yet the books are extrememly dull (with the exception of The Epic of Gilgamesh [in my opinion, of course]),difficult to understand and pointless.
