If you're in this class thinking you're going to be writing engaging research papers and learning more so about psychology, don't even take it. She's an unrealistic grader. The readings are so stupid and so are the presentations/papers. I would do everything she instructed me to do and she will still give me low grades. Take another prof/class.

Helen Bailie is a super nice professor. She is willing to help you all the time, and there is plenty of work to get a good grade. She assigns three papers on pretty easy topics. The only downfall is there is a lot of reading, but they are all short stories. You will have to work in this class but if you try you'll get a good grade.

Not a good teacher. Nice enough but doesn't use CANVAS so you never know your grade, and just makes you read when its supposed to be a WRITING course. She assigns pointless essays to read and then a paper out of nowhere. You never know what she expects bc she doesn't go over it in class. Would not take again

Did not like this class at all. Nothing was ever specified and she was late every day to class. Expects you to know APA format like the back of your hand and made up her own writing style when the paper was to be in APA format. Every class is the same by being based on an article that was to be read for homework. Very boring and won't take again.

Doesn't use any kind of online course management system, which can be really frustrating, especially because she doesn't hand anything back. If you're someone who really relies on reviewing material before exams, you may have a hard time because quizzes span 9-10 essays over the course of 4 weeks.

Going to class felt pointless. You read 3 books and write a paper for each one. You never know your grade in the class. Some of the work felt unneeded. Grades tough on some papers.

Pretty much your basic English class. It was not hard at all. She always tells you what you need to do to fix your grade and if you do it, you're fine. If you do bad in her class then you're just lazy.

The class honestly was not bad at all. Really only used one book and a few side articles. The reading was straightforward and easy to comprehend. There were 2 or 3 big papers that were a bit on the lengthy side, but she wasn't a rough grader so just follow the format she asks for and don't miss any of the steps and you will be fine.

This just wasn't a good class. She is very demanding when it comes to papers & what she says in class doesn't match what's written on the syllabus. She never responds to her emails, but will stay after class to chat. She allows others to take tests, during another class time which disrupts everyone and expects more reading than a 200 level should.

She is a great teacher. She goes with the flow, and she tells you what needs to be done by what time. She helps allot, and helps you get better with writing. She has you type a paper ,and then says before you turn it in she says check for errors before during it in.
