Her style is nice, easy-going lectures. But the big papers and take-home midterms and finals come back to bite you in the ass at the end of the semester. She is a relatively easy grader but it's a lot of work left at the end of the semester.

Langa stands at her podium and lectures for the entire class. Not very exciting, in fact, I found myself actually falling asleep in her class on multiple occasions, and I'm an art history major! She often doesn't answer any specific questions but if you use the words 'transitory' and 'feminism' in her papers, you'll pass.

Although I'm sure she is very intelligent, she is not a good teacher. She is the most uninspiring teacher 'e ever had. Furthermore, she seems unable to answer most questions, and just tells students that she is not an expert--even when it comes to questions about her specialty field, feminism in modern art.

Loves the art and shows really interesting examples. Great lecturer. Three 4-page papers and two exams that end up being about 10 pages each. They can seem overwhelming, but are easy if you pay attention and take a lot of notes. Not that hard of a grader, just repeat what she says in lectures and you will get a good grade!

The best thing about Langa's classes are that her exams are always take home, which ups the expectance level but gives you all the resources you can muster. She's a feminist, which is something to keep in mind. She's helpful in her office hours but often curt in class.

She spent far too much time on European art, so we had to skip Asian and African art. Also didn't believe a friend of mine when her father died and basically asked her for a death certificate, just because her paper was a few days late! What a monster.

I really enjoyed Dr. Langa and felt that she was a very fair grader. You do have to memorize dates, but you can round them to the nearest decade so it's not too bad. There is a lot of information, but it's manageable. Know basics, not details

As long as you go to class and study for the three exams you can get an easy B. Not ver friendly but very clear and organized.
