Her class is THE toughest class I've taken in 3 years. But TOTALLY worth it. You leave every class knowing you've learned something useful and finish the course knowing you'll be a better teacher. She makes you work more than you've ever worked, but in the end, all you want to do is thank her for taking you out of your comfort zone!

Dr. Osana is an amazing teacher! She really cares about the teachers we become so she wants us to understand the material first. Although Education courses tend to be fluff, this one was the first to have some meat to it. Enjoyed it very much!

This class is TOUGHHHHHHH!!! You need a 78% to pass, which is a C+. She is a very very very tough marker. Weekly in class quizzes which keeps you constantly studying throughout the semester, along with a midterm, reflections assignment, case study and cumulative final. I have never studied harder for a course, ever.

Why is a c+ for this class a 78.8 average? And why is this the passing grade? McGill math education class is not as demanding and only requires the regular d grade to pass. We are all becoming teachers, working for same school boards? What benefits will Concordia students have for working twice as hard for a c+? Doesn't make sense.

This course is very demanding. Every week there is a chapter to read, smallest chapter is 35 pages. For 5 consecutive weeks there were tests. There are also in-class and out-of-class assignments due. The teacher is not very well versed in the subject and teaches only out of the book, withought it she is lost!!!

Inspirational. Dr. Helena Osana is very interesting, helpful, patient, kind and gives students many examples. You may have to work hard for your grade but that is expected if you want to be teaching children as a future career. Definitely one of my favorite professors.

1st of all, the teacher is very invloved in the topic, gives a lot of lectures, attending is encouraged, nice, promising to answer ur Qs in the future, but the problem with this professor is "reaching her" she hardly answers emails during the semester, and if you ever think of contacting her after the course, forget about it !! U will be ignored.
