Absolutely brilliant! My favorite class. Granted, he isn't Mister Personality, but I learned more in this class than all other theatre classes combined. Be forewarned: he doesn't spoon feed. He actually expects college students to work. Go figure. Hands down the best professor in the department. His retirement is a devastating loss.

He is one of those teachers who has the mentality that it’s the teachers vs. the students. I am a student with a 3.8 GPA and I’m struggling to get c’s and b’s because his midterm was so random. I call him the JOY Sucker because he drains the joy out of everything ha talks about. He has the humor of wet cardboard.

Brilliant mind, atrocious teacher. Can't teach his way out of a wet paper bag. Possesses a complete inability to address the "big concepts" - instead drones on ad nauseum about agonizing minutiae until you just want to beat your head against a wall. Avoid like the plague.
