WORST TEACHER EVER. Don't know why everyone is giving him so much credit. You're only grades in the class is 5 tests, and he drops 1. Not to mention, each test is only 15 questions so if you miss 3 you already have a 79. Also, lecture is pointless you're better off teaching yourself. Ace his tricky tests or fail the class. Good luck.

He is a good professor, but his tests don't really resemble his lecture too much. He's all about the ideas of chemistry, but his tests are all about math. His grading policy is good, and you understand the chemistry, but don't be sad if you make a low test grade because the math is not emphasized well enough in class.

The most adorable man EVER! Loved him! He pretty much gives you the basis of the material but you have to look over the textbook to fully understand the concept. Do his homework, ask questions during his office hours/review session and you should be fine!

Not only do his test include exactly what he tells you in lecture, but he reviews for an entire day with the class and helps you with any problems you've been having. He slows down to make sure everyone's following and writes down the main points you need to know on the chalk board. In short- very easy to follow and VERY GOOD professor.

Professor Donato is indescribably good. You really won't understand how any professor can be so good at explaining a subject until you've had him. I used to get Ds on all my tests in Chemistry, but I actually got a 100 on one of his tests. And it's not just easy: you really LEARN and understand the subject too.

I had him for 111 and 112 and he is the best. I love the way he explains stuff. Sometimes its funny. And they're right he is the cutest little man. Oh yeah...goes out of his way to help out and holds study sessions weekly. Make sure you do study suggestion and take good notes. Should get at least a B.

WOW. Just... WOW. Dr. Donato is the most INCREDIBLE professor I think I've EVER had. I'm terrible and chemistry and used to think Cs were unachievable yet he's helped me make high Bs on my tests! He's the nicest man and goes WAY out of his way to help his students. The way he explains chemistry makes it all make SENSE; which I've never seen before!

Amazing professor! There should really be more professors like him out there--esp in the chemistry department! He understands that biochemistry is challenging in itself, and doesn't go out of his way to make it more difficult than it needs to be. Tests are very straightforward and come right from lecture. You really need to take him!

He's the cutest little man but his lecture does not match his tests. The problems he gives are the easiest in the section and the test problems are the hardest in the section. I was so excited about this course and now I'm so discouraged about chemistry. Don't take this teacher unless you already have a good background in chemistry.

Very nice person. And willing to help. But almost impossible to understand. Teaches completely unorthodox ways to solve problems. Not in sync with Lab class. Notes are unclear. Few example problems. Tests are VERY difficult and they are your only grades. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

I <3 Dr. Donato. AVOID THE OTHER LAB PROFESSORS LIKE THE PLAGUE! HE IS THE BEST!!! He's the sweetest guy ever and he cares so much about you understanding the material. This is a man who is very devoted to his job. I had him for 11 Lab, and I liked him enough to sign up for his 112 lecture next semester.

Honestly, he's adorable. If I hadn't taken chemistry for two years his lectures would have lost me. Can be esoteric. Very little rhyme or reason to his notes. Answers questions readily but can still be difficult to understand. Not for beginners in chemistry. Tests aren't bad. Drops one. Textbook unnecessary except for working problems.

Hes so dorky and fun! The tests come straight from the notes and hes always available for office help and makes it easy to understand
