Class is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Very irresponsibile with communication. Requires very specific formats for upload document names and heading, but doesnt give an example of what he wants it to look like. Just a vague discription about how it isnt 100% EXACTLY PERFECTLY lined out, you get a zero. Sorry you didnt follow protocol but doesnt show it?

This teacher is an incompetent teacher who makes a lot of mistakes, he has a person grading our test who clearly has no idea what their doing. carelessly teaches and in the end if your failing don't worry because he will pass you. just make small talk, be friendly, make sure he knows you and you will pass, maybe.

Aite so if you already coo with this dude and you know him personally he not finna fail you. You get an A or B. He DOES NOT really teach. Yet he assigns a lot of work. And grades some of the work he assigns and not all. ALWAYS look at the syllabus for taking stats 201. If he doesnt have the assignment on the weekly post, you NEED to let him know!

The worst class I have taken since I've been in college. Terrible teacher, rude, doesn't respond to emails with any sense of urgency. You will drown in busy work. He prides himself on failing students. All instructions are unclear, due dates change constantly, small mistakes will lead to immediate failure. Horrible class. Avoid if you can.

AVOID PROF HAMMOND for online statistics!!!! I cannot believe this professor is allowed to continue teaching his class in this manner. Close to no content posted, changing due dates, unclear guidelines for changing projects and no guidance as to what material will be on tests. Very slow email reply. It's obvious this course is not his priority.

Comment:
Mr. Hammond delivers the material in a haphazard manner that causes confusion and frustration. Instead of teaching stats he has focused on terminology for 4 weeks and then basic math the rest of the quarter. He isn't knowledgeable on how to conduct research and its process. He isn't receptive to feedback and is defensive if you challenge his answer

took it online, which is not the norm for him. Yes he is brilliant, but even smart people make mistakes, I don't like being marked wrong on three questions, when clearly for one of them (multiple choice) not one of his choices had the correct answer in there. Also there were two other questions that the answer was there, and he marked it wrong

Every student is overwhelmed and thinks they're failing the first half of the semester. Don't freak. You will turn your grade around. He's more concerned with hard work than perfection.

College Algebra. It's hard to understand him sometimes, but mainly because his mind works so fast. He's very smart (and hot, and nice, to boot!)

He has a different teaching style. You will have to be open and patient. He explains things well but he is very good at it. You may need to ask him to slow down and he will.He is going to throw a lot at you...you will likely be overwhelmed. If you are failing stick with him because his style is such that everyone is doing poorly.

Easy class... BUT very unprofessional. I felt like I was in middle school with the ridiculous amount of homework, busy work, and class work he gives (ex. writing out definitions).. The way he teaches the class, anybody with a high school degree could do the same if they picked up a Statistics book.

ALWAYS late, at least 30 minutes. Missed 4 days of lecture. This is a math class and he does not write/explain anything in lecture, only reads his handouts and slides. Assigns ridiculous problems from random places, which had to be omitted because he couldn't figure it out himself. Always losing track of everything - dates, assignments, tests.

Great guy, but he is very absent-minded. Confuses himself when writing on the board and is OFTEN LATE to class. That being said he cares about his students and really wants them all to succeed. PASSING HIS CLASSES TAKES WORK! Study, go to him for extra help, do the problems and GO TO THE MATH LAB if you need it.
