Unless you took Spanish in high school I would not take this professor. She goes very fast and assigns up to 8+ hours of homework every other week. Be prepared to participate in class discussions and use an online site as well as textbook. She takes points off for electronic devices and attendance is mandatory. I would take online if you decide her

OMG Horrendous! Took her online over the summer, and it was a complete disaster. She could not figure out how to use BB and blamed everything on the website. Would not have made an A if I wasn’t already pretty familiar with Spanish, even at that her grading system, assignments, and instructions were all unclear; only repeated herself when asked.

Absolutely ridiculous. She has a major attitude, gets angry so easily and for no reason... Worst teacher I have ever had in my ENTIRE life. Literally, I am so miserable every day I go to her class(uh).

Horrible Professor, horribly structured class. Does not even speak English so emails are hard to understand, she comes off very condescending. Confusing directions on assignments. Jut plain horrible. I absolutely DO NOT recommend. Take another Spanish professor if possible.

I'm taking her online right now and it's pretty easy. It's been awhile since I took spanish and I still made it by alright. Make sure you keep up with homework assignments and the due dates for it, as well as when tests start and end. Oh and there's also voice project assignments that are given too, but those aren't hard at all.

I haven't found any problems with her teaching and find that she's quite helpful. I'm in one of her in-school classes, and I find that she's quite helpful, especially to people who are newer to Spanish.

I don't understand why so many people have a problem with her. I'm in her online Spanish class (ending in a couple of days) and it's been a breeze. Just have a brain. She has always responded to my questions and e-mails. I'm for sure making an A and I haven't taken Spanish since high school (I am a junior in college). No regrets.

This is a very bad proffessor.She will taunt you if you get respond her questions wrong, extremely unhelpful, and plain rude. Cannot understand her, I can guarantee without a doubt, any person taking her class will not learn any spanish.

She is quiet a cookie. I met her in her office and she does'nt speak english, which explains why she says one thing on the syllabus and another in the online class. She has TAs doing her work. They don't care, they're radical. I do not recommend her. Save yourself some trouble. Go to South or North.

Very difficult to understand. She seems confused, and she confuses everyone by passing out tests that nobody knew were coming up. She also tries to collect homework she allegedly assigned that nobody knew about. She adds an "ahh" after nearly all words in spanish and english. I would not recommend her class to anyone.

Do not take any of her classes, she is very rude and after putting down the mexican origin hispanics I concluded she has issues with them. She hated when they pointed out mistakes on her teachings or handouts. Her Spanish accent is funny and my cooworkers told me is because she is from Panama and has african heritage. Her new mane is Cooper-Hoquee.

I took her for 1411 and 1412 and she was a pretty average teacher, though often abrupt with her students. All I can say is DON'T TAKE HER FOR ANYTHING HIGHER!!!! She is so unreasonable about those papers you write!!

Based off a lot of the comments on here, I was worried about taking her beg. class but she actually turned out to be very helpful.I'd never taken Spanish before this class but she gives extra help to the beginners in her class if you actually go to class and do the work.She even let me retake test 1 to get a better grade.Can be confusing sometimes.

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE TEACHER!! She is not a good teacher! She makes fun of the students that dont understand spanish or cant speak it!! She is rude and thinks she is better than everyone!!
