This class was one of the toughest classes I have ever taken. You have ZERO choice on what you want to write about as she picks everything. My class only wrote about bottled water and I almost never wanted to drink water again because of it. I had to work VERY hard. Saying this, she did teach me a ton about writing and made me a better writer!

Comment:

Took this class more than a year ago. The writing formula she teaches was tough to get used to. But, my writing improved A LOT. I've gotten As on all papers since I learned to write like this. She really makes you learn to support your opinions and many other profs now praise my use of MLA. Lets you revise for better grade too!

She is specific about the work she wants done. She is very particular when it comes to MLA. The dates and assignments very between the course pack and online. You need to be ready to spend A LOT of time working on her assignments.

Took Composition with Hope online. The class is heavily structured with little freedom to write or explore yourself as a writer. There is quite a bit of reading and a bunch of busy work as well. With that said, it's obvious that she cares greatly about her class, writing, and her students. Great person and teacher, but a little freedom would help.

I took composition 1 with her online. She is a very tough teacher and definitely challenges you academically. If you are up for the challenge I would recommend her. I enjoyed the class and she helped me anytime I had a question for her. The grade you work for is the grade you get in her class.

Took an online class with Hope. Gave great feedback on papers, to which I received 100% on my final paper from correcting issues she pointed out. Gave straightforward non-busy-work assignments, and I learned a lot from films watched in the course.
