I had heard horror stories regarding this professor stating that he was really hard. Don't get me wrong, the work is difficult but he is so intellegent that it is hard for him to explain. He gives a clear cut defiintion of what needs to be done and if you try he gives you that. He also hands back papers so that you can correct them.
