prof nicholson is amazing. he can be a bit monotonous in intro classes but in the upper levels he's incredible. he's funny and engaging and fair but generally hard. i wish he had been around more for my college career. he travels a lot for research. he expects a lot out of his students but he also gives a lot back if you show an interest.

really pays attention to feedback from students, because it does take time to adjust to his style of teaching. after the first exam, i really felt like i started to understand the subject and even found it more enjoyable than i expected. nicholson has a great dry sense of humor.
