Comment:

Dr. Nicholson is kind of blah. He's not the greatest teacher, but he's not the worst either. Lectures can get boring, Sometimes I think he likes to hear his own voice. Only 4 exams make up your whole grade. All essayshort answer so pay attention in class and try to take notes. He's not a fan of underclassmen and isn't afraid to say it.

A great professor. However his tests are only 7 questions, we only had 3 which means 21 questions determined my semester grade. These questions were from nowhere, with perhaps a sentence or two discussed in class.

Howard is a very good teacher and I've learned a lot from his class. He does a good job at getting everyone involved to make the class more interesting. He's not one of those "oh, it's on educat" teachers and you actually take notes in class and retain the info. Yes, he has all essay exams but don't panic. They aren't as hard as they sound.

Not a bad class or a bad teacher, although he does pick favorites. Exams are 7 essay questions, I would suggest studying notes as well as looking into the textbook because you need to write a lot in the essays. I didn't mind going to this class at all.

He quickly lectures every for the entire 3 hrs. Sometimes they are interesting, and sometimes not. Exams are 6 essay questions. He has you read The Jungle also and write an essay on it. Other than that its just the exams and the essay for your grade. He is willing to help you if you have trouble and he even gives a few points for attendance.

His classes are pretty easy. The tests are all essay, and his notes are straight out of the book. Outside of class, he is a pain to work with. He is very arrogant, and it's really easy to piss him off. He is not very helpful. Unfortunately, if you are a Social Studies or History Ed major, you have to deal with him.

You must go to class, his notes are what your tested on so going there and studying is necessary. Class is easy if you know how to study for it and take the tests. He knows his stuff, but is not very interesting and makes you hungry by talking about beef and steak all the time.

This guy really knows his stuff, and is to-the-point, yet funny. Be sure to go to class, though, as the tests include more than just what is in the notes. Be sure to really listen and understand what he's lecturing about ... tests are all essay! He's very cool if you have any questions, so ask! Highly recommended!

Huge amount of info to learn in this class but he makes it interesting. Did say at beginning of semester that text book was not mandatory because it was his interpretation of history but then found all lectures were lifted directly from the book - word for word in many cases. Interesting class though and learned loads.
