He is condescending, rude, and a total jerk. His mind wanders and there is no cohesiveness about him. Tests are easy as long as you read the book and show up for class. Don't be late, and heaven forbid don't make him angry.

Comment:

I had Dr. Black for Western Civilization II, not a PHL class, and loved it. He kind of takes a slightly Anglophilic approach (as he'll tell you up front). I really liked the fact that he would take a little time to talk about the philosophers contemporary to the places and times he discussed.
