The expectations were unclear and Dr. Yoon was dismissive and sometimes rude toward students who asked for clarification. Although the course is open to all MA students, she did not seem interested in having LIT track people in the course. I would not recommend this professor.

Comment:

Hyoejin structured and implemented the course objectives with a level of rigor I appreciated as a graduate student. Though a challenging class, neither the material nor Hyoejin left anything wanting. This course seriously prepared me for entry into the PhD program I'm currently in and prepared me to think and act like a responsible researcher.

She can be a little confusing, but the theories covered in this class are pretty difficult. If you need help, go to her! She's such a nice lady. And if you can't meet a deadline or need to miss class, keep open communication. She's very understanding. The key to an A with her (& with most professors) is having constant communication with them.

The class covers some difficult concepts, and she works very hard to explain them. Gotta do the reading though!! A fair amount of work, but generally easy assignments like take-home quizzes and a group presentation. Talk to her if you're going to miss a class, and she'll be very understanding.

she's very nice but it's soooo much work! ther is so much BS work. she makes u buy 2 books that we only use for a week. the class is ridiculous. i never did so much writing in my life. avoid this class by all means.
