The closes you'll ever have to Chuck Norris as your prof, this guy is awesome! He worked on Hubble, lectures at Harvard, has a computer in his brain (no kidding) & is one of the nicest profs you'll have. Gives you practice exams w/ 75% of the questions & lecture notes online, so no need to go to class, but he's so cool, you'll probably go anyway!

Great professor! I definitely preferred Shipsey over the other lecturers, so if you have a choice, I'd recommend his timeslots. Unfortunately, the man was often busy / sick and missed several classes, leaving poor lecturers to take his place. Posts lecture notes online, which some find helpful.

Definitely a nice guy, pretty hard to understand though as he is both deaf and from the U.K. I ended up almost never going to class because he didn't seem to move as fast with his lectures as the weekly homeworks required. Basically taught it to myself and got a B, so, thanks for the easy tests.

This class is VERY tough but don't hold that against Shipsey. I hate physics and he makes it bearable. It's always a laugh in lecture and he likes demos as much as we do. He explains things well and makes some hard material easier. Good professor overall.

I started going yto his lecture when I wasn't even assigned to it, just because he was so good. Best professor I've ever had. He really does care about how well you do. Yes, he is a bit hard to hear at times, but not nearly as difficult as many foreign professors are.
