Things might have been different had I not come from Nickelman, who was a fantastic teacher. Cannot stay organized, cannot stay on topic, and has a habit of singling people out and embarrassing them. I left the class feeling like I hadn't learned a single thing, and would definitely not take another class with her.

She gives you bad grades if you do not agree with her opinion. Very interesting class to take, but if you want to do well, at least pretend you agree with her

She's a really nice lady and willing to work with you if you show her due respect. Our class often gets yelled at because the younger kids are rude. She does get sidetracked a lot and we seem to watch more movies than anything else. But oh well. Still an interesting class and would take it again without thinking twice about it.

Really nice, and means well, but cannot stay organised to save her life. She is hard to follow and frequently forgets what she assigned for homework and then re-assigns it later. She has a tendency to single out students and pick on them constantly. That said, she's an easy grader, so as long as you show up and work you'll probably pass.

She is very nice and helpful. The lectures can sometimes become disorganized, and she gets off topic, but she makes the class very easy and laid back. She spoon feeds all the exam material almost every lecture, so it would be hard to get a low grade in her class.

A delightful person. Really great at teaching Italian. Very relaxed class. Just do the work, and you will learn the language well.

This teacher gets off topic every other senctance. Her teacing dosnt make since she tell you the end of the story before you read them and she likes to read pages and pages of information aloud even though you can read it yourself. Avoid if at all possible

Her complete lack of pedagogical skills caused me to drop the course after just three classes. I then had to wait a year to take the ITA 101-102-103 sequence from another teacher.

I had night classes where the students were primarily people older than 30, and class size was small. These were perfect venues for Ida's teaching style, which is friendly and casual. She has a way of making the classics accessible, which taught me more than I'd ever learned of ancient Greece and Rome. Fun and, yes, rambling, but you'll learn a lot

cant stay on topic if her life depended on it. Kind of teacher who will lose your homework. unclear about everything, but grades super easy. assingments and quizzes arent bad at all. if you can put up with her, take her to meet your WAC requirements. easy a, but i wanted to end my life during class time.

Incredibly disorganized, horrible tendency to branch on to completely unrelated topics. Often singles students out and embarasses them (thankfully I wasn't one of them). Does NOT teach the language well. If you want to find a good language teacher, go to the French department.

Fab teacher, obviously know the material. people forget that there are different versions of stories, so of course her facts dont always follow the book. easy quizzes, she's very nice if you make the effort to come to class and listen. would take her again in a heartbeat

She is very disorganized and several times through the quarter we(the students) have had to correct her on facts about the myths being discussed. Digresses A LOT. If I can avoid her for future classes I will. I can't imagine having to learn a language from her.

I didn't know anyone could make something as interesting as mythology so boring. She tells us to do the reading but the next class period she tells what was in the chapter anyway. She doesn't give any new information in class. She also rambles for at least half the class. Good text book, bad prof
