Ido is a genius and I wouldn't have gotten my internship without him. There is no hiding his classes can be difficult and require a lot outside of it but by the time you're done with his classes you're incredibly marketable. Honestly a 10/10 professor and PSB is lucky to have him here since he could LITERALLY be anywhere.

You would typically expect that someone with such a long history of teaching would be able to effectively describe assignments in a clear and concise way. His online discussion forms have the MOST INEFFECTIVE explanations I have EVER read in my LIFE. Other than that, he truly knows his stuff, he just isn't great at actively expressing it sometimes.

Ido is the best professor in the department. Is he easy? Absolutely not, but you're here to learn not pass classes. He will give lots of assignments but you get used to it, and if you put time and effort you will get great results. Focus on understanding the core concepts of the courses, learn to apply those concepts to the tools he introduces.

How can one teacher be so descriptive in his assignment directions, yet make the directions too vague to understand.

Professor Millet is the man. He's tough and brutally honest, but the objectivity with which he handles class is worth the abrasion. Dr. Millet really knows his stuff and makes himself available pretty much 247 by giving his Skype, phone (home, cell, office), e-mail, etc. to students. Lectures are insightful, but sometimes lack cohesion.

Comment:
Great professor who clearly knows what he's talking about. Although his MIS 204 is harder in comparison to others offered, I would still recommend taking his class because you actually learn useful skills. His lectures were never boring because they were interactive and I enjoyed learning how to use different databases. No book needed.

One of best at Behrend. Ido is a great professor with crystal clear instructions. The class isn't easy, and involves a large amount of work. Even though it isn't easy, the class is very rewarding and you will learn HUGE amounts. Ido made learning fun and challenging, and he is very fair with grading. Work hard and you'll get the grade you deserve.

Awesome instructor. Very hard material due to amount of material. Work is doable, but expect to invest a lot of time in crystal reports. He is very knowledgeable and you will learn very useful programs that you can use at work that day in an IT enviornment.

Dr Millet is the best professor I had! His course is more work and more time consuming, but you learn A LOT! Also, no text book is required. I highly recommend taking this class. I got an A for his class and I ended up taking MIS for a minor because of it.

Knows what he is talking about. He MAKES you understand the material. Which is good and bad, but I think more good. If you are interested in mis I would suggest to take him over anyone else. I have little interest and got a A-. Try and know someone in the class. It helps.

He expects a lot more out of his students for being an intro class. He really understands what he is talking about though. For MIS 204 I would suggest talking a different prof. if it is just required to be taken and if MIS is not your major. If you are an MIS major then I would suggest taking him for his knowledge. Overall good prof. not a blow off

Great MIS professor! He really knows his stuff. Some of the projects were time consuming, but he gave very clear directions that resulted in a high grade if you followed them precisely. Also, he used other sources so a textbook was not needed for the course.

He is as smart as the come to MIS. If your an MIS major he is a must. If you have to take MIS204 bc your a business major and just want to boost your GPA maybe take someone else because his workload seems higher than other professors. His knowledge in his field is outstanding. Some of his projects and tests have very ambigous questions.

If you do not have a heavy workload and are an MIS major take this course. It is a lot of work, but rewarding. Very knowledgable instructor. Intimidating at times, but you get used to his ways. He is a smarta$$ sometimes but it provides entertainment.

This class is hard and Dr. Millet can be VERY intimidating, but he is the best MIS prof Behrend has. It may be painful, but he will give you the skills to get a job in MIS, be prepared to work hard, but learn a ton! He does have a sense of humor sometimes too, which makes the class enjoyable.
