He is the toughest teacher in the CE department and he also is the only teacher available for your core classes so taking him is unavoidable. Very, very tough grader and most people do very poorly on test or quizzes. He'll pass you if you do better in perspective than everyone else.

If you have other things going on in your life, DO NOT TAKE HIM. His class is passable, but it will take going to his office all the time & many other things just to get a C. He lectures straight from the book word for word(same examples & discussions). Most of his answers to your questions are "Study More". Hardest teacher you will ever take.

Great teacher teaches very nice but the hardest teacher ever seen. Take his class if you want to learn something but don't take his class if you want an easy grade. One of the bad thing is he gives u homework from the book printed himself so will not have the solution to check, if u don't know something. If he would give the solutions it'll be gr8

He is an excellent teacher. The subject matter is just hard as hell. It's a combination of all your worst math classes and physics put together. He makes it seem crystal clear in class but the homework and the quiz/test problems are another story. Word of advice... DO AS MANY HW PROBLEMS AS YOU CAN AND GO TO HIS OFFICE!!!

He is a good teacher. The class sucks because the pace is so fast and intense. The university tried to compact a 6 credit course into a 4 credit class. My advice for success is to use the office hours a lot.

Statics & Dynamics is very hard material to be teaching. He covers a LOT of material, but when you are training people to design buildings & bridges, it is ALL necessary. He was one of my favorites. Also a good Christian role model.
