She is very disorganized! I swear she worships blackbboard, because she puts everything on it. She will assign homework in class and then CHANGE the homework on blackboard and get upset that half the students didn't do it. She's infuriating.

A nice enough person IF she likes you, but will disagree with everything you say if she doesn't. Only likes your projects if you do exactly what she says. Constantly turns any topic or conversation onto feminism, regardless of whether it had anything to do with the subject discussed. Touch marker, never clear instructions at all.

Ila allows you to learn the best way you can and is always helpful and encouraging. Sometimes assignments are difficult and open ended but she just wants you to think outside the box and bring your own perceptions to the table. Even if you think you don't know what your doing, she's there to help.

ila does really care about her students. she came to visit me in the hospital and was concerned. she plays favourites a lot and seems to enjoy more abstract "kiddie" type paintings than what actually comes out of your head. it's easy to fit into the style she likes and get good grades though.

Ila seemed to play favourites, especially during marking time. She really didn't seem to appreciate abstract painting nearly as much as traditional. A compotent professor, that can make for a good experience...if she likes you.

I can't say enough good about Ila. She is the most caring professor I've ever met, and, unlike the stereotypical artist, is very down to earth. Great teacher. The workload was almost overwhelming, but I understand that's normal for a FINA course (this was the only one I took).
