Comment:

Indrani is a great professor. I am terrible at math and I still pulled a C+ in Stat 200. She really does care about her students and wants everyone to succeed. There are four exams and four quizzes but she drops your lowest quiz. Practice the problems she gives you and go to the LRC if you do not understand something. Never used the textbook.

Comment:

Stat 200 is hard as it is, but Dr. Basak tries to make it as easy as possible. She has an accent that's sometimes hard to understand but the reviews are exactly like the exams! Have any trouble, go to LRC on review Q's and you're solid for the exam. Never used the textbook. Reasonable on grading and tries to help her students pass. BEST STAT PROF!

Dr. Basak is by far the best math professor! She is the sweetest lady ever and won't move on to make sure you understand the material. Going to her lectures are helpful in understanding the material. HIGHLY recommend her! She is the best!

Def a stat professor you would want to take. She really cares about you doing well in her class. Her tests/quizzes are straight from the review problems so if you actually study, you should easily get an A in this class. I never went to class besides for quizzes and test and still got an A, just put in effort studying and you'll get an A

For stats 200 she is the professor you need to take. I had to drop stats the first time I took it, but with Basak she makes it very easy to get a good grade. The exams are pretty much the same as quizzes and the practice problems. She also has two other assignments for extra points.

Online videos are very clear and easy to understand. She explains all the statistical techniques in detail and provides real life examples for practice which is helpful. I was able to quickly apply what I learned to my role in Analytics at work. Tests are fair as long as you understand the concepts.

Dr. Basak is awesome. I have taken many online classes, and I teach online. This professor is wonderful. She gives great feedback, answers emails in a timely manner, and listens to her students requests. It shows that she cares about her students. If you put the time/work into this class, ask questions when you need to, you will do great.

If you go to class, ask questions, do the review problems you'll do fine. The lectures are dry, but straight forward. I didn't really do the review problems and ask questions, but if I did I'm sure I'd easily have an A. She's also approachable, if you have any questions she'll help ya out.

This woman cares; it makes all the difference in an online course. Online courses aren't easy, but she goes the extra mile and posts videos to help you review. That action alone puts her in the top 5% of the online applied statistics at PSU world campus, who mostly advocate the "teach yourself statistics" method.

Absolutely terrible. This is the worst taught course I have taken EVER. There is no organization. We had to take out midterm before almost any assignments were graded. She is confusing and doesn't always understand what you are asking. Her assignments are imprecise, and so is her grammar and English. I do not think she should be teaching online.

One of the better stat teachers. Directions are clear, give chapter review sheets, most of the test/quiz questions are pulled from them. Tough class if you don't show up, show up, take step by step notes.

she is very nice n she explains everything very clear w/ details.make sure you kno every single problem from the review,cuz its the key to tests.i dont do hw daily,but i studied VERY hard before a test.although this class requires A LOT of study,she already makes it easier.keep in mind tat its a 4cr class.i ended up w. an A tho.good luck!

Really great professor. She explains things thoroughly and clearly. I understand her accent well and she is always willing to take questions and help a student out. Very easy if you go to class often. Textbook homework is optional and she gives out review sheets that we do in class. Definitely take her for if you can.

She does not ask you to come to class but you really should go to learn something new everyday. Her tests are usually from the review exercises so you better focus on that. Somehow, every time i go to her office, she's never there but apparently she's always there to some people. It was an easy course but maybe cos i was asian :P
