She is my favorite professor I've had at Pitt. Her lectures are amazing, they really make you think about the world. Her class is really enjoyable. Very accessible and cares about her students. If you do the work, you can do very well in her class. TAKE HER!

Personally I'm not a strong writer, but this class will quickly teach you and give you the feedback you need to improve your skills. It is a lot of reading, and she does grade pretty harshly. Whatever you put in you'll get out. If you aren't prepared to work, don't take this class. Lectures can be lengthy too, but she has important things to say.

I have never gotten much out of an English class before until Ms. Mundari's class. The works that she assigns for papers show real world problems that make it easier to write about. She can be unclear about some things in discussions, but you will learn how to write a paper in her class and see a new vision of the world.

Very wise and inspirational. Also very liberal, if that matters to you. She grades hard on the formal assignments, but lets you revise and resubmit based on her comments. Really hard not to fall asleep in lecture, though, because she talks so slowly and reads so much. Overall, a very cool person, and I'm proud to have been in her classroom

She truly changed my perspective of the world around me. She is definitely a tough grader and you need to work hard to earn a decent grade. Her lectures drew me in and gave me much deeper insight. It was a class I just needed to get out of the way but I'm glad I took it. Really changed my life. She's a professor I definitely won't forget.

Professor Mundari has truly changed my life. Not only are her lectures incredibly inspiring, but the material she has you read is very thought-provoking, as class discussions center on the importance of identity and how it relates to several societal issues. Write passionately, be open to new ways of thinking and writing, and you will do well!

Professor Mundari has AMAZING lectures every week. She really makes you think about the world around you and is super inspirational. With that said, she is a pretty tough grader. I'm torn as to whether I would take her if I could choose all over again. I don't want my pre-med dreams to be crushed, but also her lectures are the best I've ever heard.

Wonderful professor who provokes thinking about major world issues in a completely different manner. She grades hard because she has high expectations of college students. Class participation is a must but honestly it's hard to resist such interesting discussions. Essays and movies required for the class are very interesting and also mandatory...

Wonderful teacher. I didn't really like the idea of having to take this class, but she makes in interesting. She does challenge her students, but challenges them to be better. I didn't always love it, but I came out a much better writer, and for that I am thankful. Don't be afraid. Show up on time, do the reading, and pay attention.

Very difficult grader. Doesn't give B's let alone A's easily. High Expectations - don't meet them, then you'll fail. She tends to throw curve balls, like ask what the reading was about for in class assignments to determine if you've read them (She Grades them). Not a nurturer but teaches discipline. Passionate about race and class issues in america

She was an OK teacher but I can say she does force you to learn the information and when you're late or simply not going to go without her knowing then she will be hella mad she will notice because her classes are small. However she is a nice lady just is about Egnlish she also teaches you "LIFE" guides you into a higher level of understanding it!!

Relatively easy class, her lectures feel like broken records at times, and you usually feel burned out on the topic after hearing her talk for awhile. Easy to get on her good side as long as you're respectful, showing up to class on time, bring all materials, etc. Her notes on your papers are sometimes impossible to read.

If you are the sensitive type that takes things personally, do NOT take her class...She will make you want to kill yourself. If you are mature and willing to work hard, you can learn a LOT from her. She made comp 0200 a breeze for me.
