I thought I was going to die. Ms. Hindson is one of the nicest, most genuine and caring teachers I've had but her class is about as easy and fun as playing hopscotch on hot lava when you don't have feet. A person who lived through the time period(s) and was educated could not have passed her class.

I made an A in this class and honestly I have no idea how. This class is impossibly hard. I would write 10 page essays for the tests and still get B's. She's completely scatterbrained and gives way too many handouts that you have to study in addition to your pages and pages of notes and reading assignments from 2 books. She is very nice though :)

lectures extremely fast w power points she doesn't put on tracs and assigns a lot of reading from 2 different books so material gets confusing, grades like everyone is a history major, makes it clear the only way to do well is to go to study sessions outside of class-don't take this class if you have a job, life, or are taking any other classes.

Really nice Lady! Very helpful with all my questions. I enjoyed her lectures & stories very much! She's pretty funny too. The class is challenging, but she gives out extra credit & take home quizzes which helps. Doesn't use tracs!

She is a fast speaker, recorder is very helpful! she lets you set it on her desk before class as well,first quiz is take home, others are not, with exception to last one I'm not sure if its always like that though. Attendance is mandatory just because if you miss one day its hard to catch up, straight note-taking,good attendance= extra credit

You have to truly KNOW the material to do well on the tests. She gives a study sheet with key words on it before tests and if you write everything out a couple of times until you memorize it you'll do great. She also walks around during the tests and you can ask her anything and she'll give you the answer. Tests are all Essay! 3 quizzes, 2 take hom

She can be helpful if you go see her during her office hours. Is good at telling her lectures as stories, has power points that she runs through fast, doesn't post them on TRACS. expects you to try to write everything from the power points, and what she says , but doesn't give u enough time. when you ask her to go back a slide, she wont!

Personally a very nice lady but this class is so hard. she has powerpoints but expects u to write only what she says,though she talks way to fast. she does not post powerpoints on TRACS. The information overall is interesting but the work is just to crazy and isnt worth ur GPA.shes the type where shes happy if people pass with D's. Avoid class!!!

Okay so she's a sweet lady. A good way for history 2 be taught is in a 'story' type element which, she does do well BUT there is LOTS of reading & its the type of class if u dnt read material u'll fall behind summarys r the worst in ne class esepcially this 1 & most of all i had the worst ta sum brat grad student who thought he knew more than her!

I really enjoy history and like to ask questions and give input. she did not like me AT ALL because of this. she stopped calling on me to answer questions and stopped returning my emails about the grades that mysteriously appear and disappear. she answered ONE. She's also a history basher, she like to find fault with EVERYTHING in history

Poor Ms.Hindson, she's a really nice lady but her class is insane, we have to read from 2 books, the regular and the vistas, you have a journal over the vistas, and a quiz over the vistas and the regulars but the exam is only the regular, little MC its all reall essay. TAs not entirely helpful, i did poorly because i didn't read, oh well my fault

Lot to memorize. Make sure you can handle taking notes through the whole class. She herself is nice and helpful but the expectations are insane. SI sessions help. Studying daily and memorization is the only way.

She is the worst professor I have ever had in my college career. I am an AB student and for some reason she just didn't set well with me. She talks to fast and expects you to know every single detail she says about everything and then regurgitate it on the test the exact same way she put it. I would highly recommend people not taking her.
