Professor Sommers is an awesome teacher. Her Art History II class was very therapeutic for me. Furthermore, I was amazed at how much and the kind of knowledge that I gained by taking this class. This class is highly recommended even if you're not an Art major.

I had the pleasure of having Professor Sommers for 2 classes in the same semester, Art history 102 and Film & Literature. I would highly recommend all future students to take her in anyone of these classes. You will not be disappointed. Art history class was especially enlightening. The Trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York was great!

Prof Sommers is great, she covers everything she puts on the test 2 -3 times. You cannot fail this class, she's a great teacher, very knowledgable and is always up to debate and understand someone else view on art.

She is an amazing teacher!! she explains everything so crystal clear and brings things into what we live in now. I have taken her english 102 class and im taking art history 1 with her. I never thought I would ever understand art history, its so easy. I wish i could take her film and lit class too!

Irene is such a sweetheart! The class is easy, the stories and poems we read are interesting, and her teaching is understandable. Very, very easy quizzes/tests, but that is ONLY if you read the material. If you don't understand a story, Google it and ask for help in class. Shows films as well. Highly recommended!

Prof. Sommers is very beautiful inside and out. She is so passionate about teaching that each student feels so special. When my grandmother passed she cared enough to speak with me and to give me a beautiful card. I was so inpressed with her in Eng. 102 I had to take eng. 271! I would love to take more classes with her! She motivates like no other
